  • Yes just a few sessions with a PT may be very beneficial if you learn best with face to face interaction. He or she may even design a program just for you.
  • I also agree. If you want to learn great form and have someone couch you through it. I hired a PT because I learn best in person one on one. I had absolutely no idea where to start. I had never heard of MFP. I had never thought about my diet before. I had no clue how to work out, track calories, or eat healthy. I ate a…
  • Bodybuilding.com is a resource for articles, illustrations, and videos. They also offer free programs for specific goals. They have soooo many programs. They have workouts for male and female and then for fat loss or muscle gain and then even more choices. Most of the programs also offer a week of sample recipes to inspire…
  • http://fitnessfooddiva.com/workouts/fitness-tips/6-weeks-summertime-slim-down-program/ I love this chick. I'm new to the weight room. I'll watch her daily workout video and then print out the pictures. Pictures help me. You can find a lot of great workouts on Pinterest.
  • I've never tried carrots and pb together. But I'm interested in trying it now. That's sounds like a healthy snack. Thank you for the helpful suggestion.
  • Thank you. I'll go check out that brand. Very helpful comment. And to JaneSnowe, I will try that as well. I've tried sliced banana and that was delicious. So I'll just need to find a healthier Pb and I'll be set.
  • Oh I haven't had that happen yet but yes that would make me question the accuracy.
  • Okay I'll check that app out. Thank you for the recommendation.
  • Thank y'all for the quick responses. It's good to know before actually buying a month.
  • I didn't realize there were inaccuracies. I'm just wanting to know more about things like magnesium and vitamin D and so on, how much I'm getting from the foods I log and how much of those nutrients I'm lacking daily. I like that calcium and iron are included in the free app, just wish the app tracked more nutrients. I've…
  • Does it track a wider range of vitamins and minerals?
  • I've taken my vitamins today and so far I haven't had any junk food.
  • The shrimp tacos are so yummy!
  • I'm on day twelve. I was shaking all lover but I did it.
  • How did y'all learn proper form? Lots of YouTube? I want to start weight training just to be well round and fit. But I don't want to walk up into the weight room and start doing crap wrong and get hurt doing it.
  • I'm curious how y'all like it? I don't know anything about weights. But the program looks good.
  • After 40 seconds I start shaking
  • I would like to start this challenge. It will be good low impact. :)
  • I'm in the Big Country
  • Congrats on your progress and training. For me a long run is 6-8 miles and for the next two days after, I feel like I could eat everything in my house.
  • I'm proud that I have incorporated vegetables into most of my daily meals. I didn't grow up eating vegetables so it was a big change for me. But I feel proud for making the healthy change and for eating all my veggies.
  • I eat so much salsa. I like it with some cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes. It's good as a healthy topping for baked white fish. I eat it with hard boiled eggs. It's good with black beans and brown rice paired with either baked chicken or lean ground beef with taco seasoning.
  • Whoops, for the lemon pepper fish- wrap them in foil and bake in oven the cooking time given on your frozen fish package
  • I can give you some ideas:Baked seasoned chicken breast, minute brown rice, and great value frozen broccoli steamed. Super cheap. Lemon pepper white fish: frozen white fish fillets, lemon, ground pepper, with sliced bell pepper, and diced purple onion and a bit of olive oil wrapped in foil for the recommended time on the…
  • I've been thinking about trying it out. There are 3 boxes in town. I think it would be a good way to learn proper weight lifting form without hiring a personal trainer. I just need to get up some courage and some $$

  • Strengthening my core helped me out a lot. I used to have mild back pain. I started doing planks, push-ups, and running. As my core got a little stronger my back pain went away.
  • I got side stitches frequently when I was getting into running shape. I felt better after I took deep breaths and breathe through the pain for a few moments. As my body adjusted to running and cardio exercise, the stitches stopped happening.

  • Oh and almonds and diced cube cheese- in moderation
  • I/2 cup full fat cottage cheese with a cup of blueberries. I feel like this snack gives me a little boost and it satisfies my sweet tooth. I also like a few diced Tomatoes with some cottage cheese, basil, and cracked pepper. If I feel low energy but don't have time to make the above mentioned snacks, I'll always grab a…
  • Veggie like fresh raw spinach, Swiss chard, and sometimes lightly steamed broccoli, will make my stomach hurt! I started drinking lemon peppermint tea after and it helps soothe me. I also have noticed that if I steam the spinach just a little, I don't have much discomfort.
