I have been using the basic MFP app on and off for over a year. Now I am really focused on nutrition rather than just calories. I got an Ad about premium, that it tracks more nutrients. Does this mean that the paid app tracks more vitamins and minerals? Such as vitamin D and so on? For the people that have tried premium MFP, what do you love/ dislike about it compared to the free app?

Does it track a wider range of vitamins and minerals?

The bigger question would be, do you expect the entries for a wider range of vitamins and minerals to be correct based on the current inaccuracies of the entire database?

The nutrients you can choose from is no different. If you like to customize your macros though, it is well worth it. I have it for that reason and it is extremely useful

I didn't realize there were inaccuracies. I'm just wanting to know more about things like magnesium and vitamin D and so on, how much I'm getting from the foods I log and how much of those nutrients I'm lacking daily. I like that calcium and iron are included in the free app, just wish the app tracked more nutrients. I've started a multivitamin but would like a better picture of how my diet contributes.

Thank y'all for the quick responses. It's good to know before actually buying a month.

I've heard good things about cronometer for tracking micronutrients.

Wait till you add a food that has negative nutrients - makes you wonder how innacurate the other foods are

Oh I haven't had that happen yet but yes that would make me question the accuracy.
