  • Favorite series right now is the excellent Hell on Wheels on regular TV. Killing, Hawaii 50, Bluebloods, are also good. On the pay channels, there is Boss, Boardwalk Empire, Treme, Justified, Newsroom. If some are not on right now, they could be out on DVD.
  • My favorite way to eat oatmeal: Use uncooked oatmeal, add cinnamon, sliced almonds, artificial sweetner and put in freezer just for about 15 min. (the time it takes to fix my face). By not cooking the oatmeal, you avoid the slimy texture of cooked and it is really great ice cold. Could add any fruit you want. Try it.
  • The beautiful island of Saipan, in the Western Pacific, 120 miles north of Guam, 7 flying hours west of Hawaii.
  • I'm on Saipan, a tiny island (12x5miles) north of Guam in the Western Pacific. Always hot here but beautiful. We are a Commonwealth of the United States and most residents are U.S. citizens.
  • I understand that Flax seed is good for us. However, I also learned that they must be ground up (like in a coffee grinder or spice grinder) to be effective. If not, they simply travel through us, whole, without departing any benefits.
  • The time by which the Tsunami would hit Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands has come and gone with no effect at all except maybe a slight 2-foot sea rise. I live on Saipan and all is well here. My relatives on Guam say all is well there also. Please pray for those who might still be hit with this.
  • I sometimes make this soup with slight variations. I add one can of coconut MILK. I know it is an extravagance, but it makes the soup 1000 times tastier. One can spread among the 10-12 cups really is not much for the added umph it gives. Donna
  • Hello from Saipan, in the Western Pacific. Welcome to the site. It helps a lot to keep track of what you consume and it helps to hear suggestions of others.
  • Hi: The picture in the box in your note saying 4 lb. lost is the exact same one I use as my desktop background. I just love it but have no idea where I got it or where it was taken. Can you help. Thanks. Donna
  • From the beautiful island of Saipan, in the Western Pacific, a Commonwealth in Political Union with the U.S., like any small town in the USA but with a tropical friendliness like no other.
  • Here in the Western Pacific Ocean it is predicted to be 87 today, as it is almost every single day of the year. Hot but beautiful.:flowerforyou:
  • If you had invasive surgery (as opposed to laproscopic), please be very careful and discuss activity with your doctor. I had gallbladder removal (1998 invasive surgery) and 3 hernia surgerys were a direct result of that (surgery in same incision). Ten years later a staple was found in my pancreas from the 1998 gallbladder…
  • I like to cut avacado into small bite-size d pieces and mix with a very little lemon juice and soy sauce. Great as a side dish. , No lemon? Use little vinegar. Another favorite is mashed and spread on toast.
