Absolutely this. Not everybody knows (or believes) that it is this simple...thus all the fad diets, miracle products, etc. Some people really don't know.

Well, you're not alone. I don't plan on stopping...we just have to push through.
-
Definitely needed to hear this!

Thank you so much, I really feel that doing 20-30 mins of HIIT or strength in the early morning is better than doing nothing (what I was doing). I have no intentions of stopping, but when I wasn't exercising I was losing .25 pounds a week or so, so it's discouraging to see the number on the scale actually go up when I…

Thank you, if I do 20 minutes it's a 20-min HIIT class so at least it's better than nothing. I also don't adjust my calories for that, I'm just using that more as inspiration or to give me a "push" as I really do feel better exercising than doing nothing at all.

I weigh with both and try to overestimate to allow a little wiggle room. Yes, I am good about double checking packages and entries in the system as I know they can be wayyyy off. Right now I have my calorie goal set to 1,270-1,300 (again, I try to allow for some wiggle room if I am not on point that day) I'm 5'3, 144lbs…

I would LOVE to wear contacts...but since having LASIK done 20 years ago, I can't anymore. I used to wear contacts all the time. Then I had LASIK done. It was awesome for 10 years...then my vision started to go again. Now no matter what kind I try, they just don't sit correctly flat on my eyeball (scarring maybe?) and so…

Yes. The concept of losing weight is simple. But it's not easy. Meaning, to lose weight, all you have to do is eat X amount of calories. It sounds easy enough...but it's not. Life gets in the way. I just told myself I had to stop self-sabotaging and reminding myself that I truly am in control when it comes to my weight.…

Yes, I just got a pair yesterday that I ordered online. They were under the petite/child category, and they fit me just fine. I have a narrow oval face and regular size glasses are always big on me, so I decided to give the "child" frames a go and I'm so glad I did. Just make sure where you go has a petite/child selection…

Personally, Keto definitely had its perks. I still had to count calories but I was much more full and satiated without all the carbs. But I just couldn't still to it long-term...trying to lose weight is hard enough without restrictions.
-
The concept is simple. However, I do not find it "easy".
-
WOW. This is a douche comment for sure.

I totally hear you. I feel like I've been trying to lose 10-15 pounds forever. I'll be 43 in a few months as well. I'm totally frustrated with myself and my lack of will power. It really does not feel like it is THAT much weight to lose, but it is so hard. The only thing that works for me is consistent calorie tracking, so…

I'm trying to stay at 20 net. I'm still learning what limits work for me. I know that I definitely feel more full and satisfied eating this way than any other way. I got so sick of being hungry!
-
Amazing!!! Congrats to you.

Your "stupid" mom? How old are you? It's a cake, dude. Use common sense. Flour, butter, eggs, sugar, etc...eating almost a whole cake is never a "Healthy" idea. No matter where it came from. I think you need to do a little research on what makes something "healthy".
-
Thank you all. <3

This is exactly how I stayed stuck in maintenance....for a long time.

Fyi, Breyers 100-call No Sugar Added Butter Pecan is really good.

A good friend of mine had terrific success with WW when they used Smart Points, but got rid of the app when they started Freestyle, as it did not work for her. She suggest the app called iTrackBites which uses points based on the Smart Points system. It has a scanner, calculator and you can look up food. It's much cheaper…
-
I'm interested but was told the Smart Points plan is better than Freestyle and a friend also suggested ITrackBites. I'm not sure where to go for suggested foods.

Sounds terrible to me. Also sounds like a low cal count/weight for a male. But whatever works for you.
-
I do my best not to make a dinner out a "cheat" meal. But yeah, depending on what you order you could derail yourself. Just try to make smart choices.
-
Don't overthink or complicate. Don't "ban" what you think are "bad" foods. Everything in moderation. Be persistent and patient. weight loss is cals in vs. cals out.

I would be honest and disclose in your profile how adamant you are about your food/health/fitness and I would put in there you're a non-drinker. This way there's no confusion in the future and you're likely to attract someone more like-minded.

So far, a bag of pretzel M&M's

I'm enjoying mine. I plan on making mojo pulled pork in it when I get home.

Your post has set off a lot of alarms. Please, please talk to your doctor.

I can't believe this isn't a joke.
