  • I love and need a good challenge! Count me in, please.
  • Won't work. It would actually make me eat more.
  • I can't speak to the BodyMedia but I got a Fitbit for Christmas and I love it. It has really opened my eyes as to just how active I really am and also how poorly I sleep. It makes me want to move.
  • Boy can I ever tell that I have been slacking off. I did 3 sets of the Wednesday workout and it really kicked my butt!
  • I only read mysteries. The Louise Penny, Three Pines series is wonderful. I am currently reading Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen. It is very good too.
  • Your husband sounds like quite a cheerleaders. Your weight loss is totally amazing!
  • I just logged in my first week loss and it was 3.8 pounds down. Now, I haven't been that strict on myself so I'm guessing some of my post-Thanksgiving gain was water weight. Good luck to everyone! The numbers are really looking good!
  • Hello Everyone, I am 54, 5'9" and have lost 29 lbs so far in the 11 months I have been on MFP. I have lost 100s of pounds in my life and gained them all back with interest. This time, thanks to MFP, I have lost the weight the right way. The support and knowledge that I have gotten from this site has been fantastic. Even as…
  • I also like the idea of a mini challenge...another excuse to move! I have been alternating strength training, ie leg day, ab day, arm day. That gets me two workouts per week for each area with Sunday being rest day. The mini challenge will be a nice addition to that.
  • Off to a good start. I was under my calories and I got a strength/cardio workout in too.
  • 2 pugs, Charlie (10 yrs old) and Holly (5 yrs old). Love em!
  • For some reason, I cannot add my info. I'm not very techy so I am probably doing something wrong. Any ideas? OOPS...nevermind. I tried again and it worked.
  • Hey Everyone, I weighed Saturday morning and my weight was up 5 pounds from three weeks ago. No surprise there given my overindulgence and lack of exercise. Current weight: 160 lbs Christmas weight goal: 157 lbs Ultimate goal: 155 lbs. I may go lower if I feel I need to. Food goals: Log daily, even if I go over, which I…
  • I do not dread anything. I shop online so I don't have to deal with the crowds. I will eat and enjoy the foods that we don't have any other time of the year and I will gain a few pounds in the process. After the holidays, I will get back on the program and take them off in only a few short weeks. I hope all of you have a…
  • Can't have too many friends! Always happy to add anyone :)
  • That would take the weight off so fast you would look like a shar pei puppy by the end of it. Slow and steady all the way!
  • As a charter member of the yo-yo dieter club, I wish I had known that no foods are bad and off limits. It's all about portion size and logging. That little bit of info would have saved me a lot of obcessing and failure. Now what is the scoop on the white wine spritzer?
  • I agree with all the posts above. It is also a good idea to be aware of the calorie content in the "off limits" foods, not so we can beat ourselves up for eating them, because an occasional splurge is actually good for us. Sometimes knowing the calories we are consuming makes it easier to walk away from them. A few years…
  • Bethel, KY which is a very small town about 50 miles east of Lexington.
  • I stay within my range Monday - Friday, eat absolutely anything I want on Saturday with no guilt and try to stay within my maintenance calorie range on Sunday. I don't see how anyone can stay in a healthy frame of mind being strict 24/7/365. That would drive me nuts.
  • One of these days I will learn how to do the "quote" in the blue box and my comments out of the box. What I just posted didn't turn out right. Sorry:sad:
  • I got Tuesday's pushups done but not yesterday's squats. Cardio in yesterday. Mixed veggies for lunch and yellow squash for supper. I am having some motivation issues it seems.
  • Yesterday I got 48 minutes of cardio in at the gym. I managed to come in 97 calories under. Today is going to be a tough one. I am having a business lunch at an amazing little cafe. Their food, especially their deserts, are awesome. It has been a year since I last ate there and it will probably be another year before I am…
  • Hello! All challenges done so far. I will get the arm workout in today. I love arm workouts. Later this afternoon my husband and I are going to participate in a Walk for Alzheimers Awareness in our hometown. This should be both fun and worthwhile. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Oh, btw, I couldn't find…
  • I had a good cardio session today, tricep kickbacks done, no added salt and about 80 oz water. I did have a Healthy Choice steamer for lunch and that has plenty of sodium.
  • I had a great Wednesday. 35 minutes onthe elliptical, 10 minutes on the walk track, water more than done and squats completed. Supper was all about veggies, stir-fry on a bed of quinoa. My husband even ate the quinoa and enjoyed it! Wow! Pammie, I am blown away that you can do 100 regular pushups!
  • Hi. I'm Cheryl. I didn't get my cardio in today but I did stay away from sugar and I have finished the pushups. Donna, I love that you post the week's challenges up front so I can plan ahead. Thank you.
  • Hi :flowerforyou: I had a very good cardio workout yesterday. I did 32 minutes on the treadmill with 2 minute walk/jog intervals. Jackie, that seems very puny compared to your 10K (which, by the way, I am very proud of you for that), but for me, it is major. It totaled to 14 minutes of jogging and I managed it without…
  • Hi ladies, I got a really good cardio session in on Friday using the Octane machine at the gym. It gives me a full body workout, not just legs. Saturday has been typical for me. I have had 3 meals, none of them healthy and all high calorie. My choice, so I'm not complaining. I love my cheat days but at the same time I…
