I'm the opposite! I can run outside, but have a heck of a time running on the treadmill. I have a feeling it's because I can control my speed easier outside, so when I get tired, I just slow down. It's harder for me to do that on a treadmill, for some reason.

Several times and I'm just getting started!

Tuna + A tiny bit of mayo+ Milton's 'Everything' crackers (in the purple box) = dinner at least once a week for me. It comes out to be more than 250 cals, but you get the gist. I would imagine the flavored kind you wouldn't even need to mix with anything. I've been tempted to pick up a couple of those to try them out...

I think I'm officially old. I could only figure out "30 Seconds to Mars" What are the other acronyms? Thx.

That looks FAB OMG.

Tonight I'm sauteing a chicken thigh with some chard and garlic. Adding a bit of grated parm on top, too. It's one of my favorites. A bunch of healthy greens, a bit of fat and salt, a bit of garlic....I'm making myself hungry!

Repeating that healthy and low calorie are not the same thing.... Also, there's a lot of good stuff in there. Taking out the fat (oil) or sweet (honey) might really change the flavor, meaning little ones might not like the taste of them anymore. And at that point, it doesn't matter if the bars are healthy if they won't eat…

That's the message I'm getting as well. Very sad.

Weirdly enough, it was the FA/Health at Every Size movement that brought me to MFP in the first place. It's amazing what can happen when you don't hate yourself anymore. When you actually believe you are worth the effort to be healthy and happy. The philosophy of FA/HAES runs completely contrary to society's message to fat…

As far as I understood, the only reason why you really wouldn't want to eat before bed is that a full stomach can make it harder for you to fall asleep. But even then, that's only if you have trouble sleeping to begin with. And it can give you heartburn.

My birthday was yesterday too! I went over my calories, but I had a larger dinner and a beer. I had a small piece of cake at work, but that's all. I'm celebrating with my family this weekend, so I'm doing my very best to stay on track this week.

In Laos. And I am drug-free, thank you very much. Just adventurous :drinker: :glasses:

Coconut. Especially finding it in my desserts.

Simply beautiful. Thank you for posting!

Oh, this! So much. I run because, unlike exercise DVDs and classes, it allows me to direct my focus inward and think about stuff. I don't have pay much attention to anything, I can just...go. I don't care if I ever run fast, or ever run a race. My goal is simply to be able to run for long enough to empty my stupid brain of…

*standing ovation* Actually, sometimes I do this on accident. I can't help it if the machine has me facing THE CENTER OF THE ROOM my god.

Only once have I been so stressed that I skipped a period and that was compounded stress over time from work + grad school + death in the family + moving. I'm surprised I'm still alive, actually. But yes, stress can do it and some women's cycles seem be more sensitive than others. Also, I turn 28 on Tuesday and I have…

I stare like a creep at the hot guys at my gym. Just kidding. ...or am I?

Exactly. If that's your boyfriend, well... He ain't. Sorry, honey.

The kissy-face with your dog. I take pictures like that of my dog too!

Well, who is "he" to you?

This. Either you're imagining it, or it's your attitude. Two things I've learned in my relatively short time on Earth: 1) ANYONE who refers to women as "females" is probably a jerk, and 2) women who say other women are "catty" or whatever, tend to be the cattiest of them all. So don't do either of those things and you'll…

Same. And I get better at it as I get older! ;)

This. I usually shred it up and stir fry it. Just don't cook it too long or you'll stink up the house :(

You bet! A Cuisinart with a glass top that I bought for about $30 at Bed Bath and Beyond. It was probably the best purchase I've made for myself. It's been especially helpful with measuring out fresh produce.
