I'm interested in learning about/listening to more bands for fun and workouts.
I like classics and newer style of 'rock'.

metallica
AC/DC
Green Day
Greek Fire
FOB
Paramore
30STM
Bullet for my valentine
the new Halestorm song
Flobots white flag warrior
a few rob zombie songs
volbeat
5FDP

to name a few. my current you tube playlist is on my profile.
I'm interested in more bands like this,
or classics that are awesome that are not already on my list.
I like some metal, but I have to understand what they are saying.

What are the other acronyms? Thx.

    80s rock

    Cinderella
    Alice Cooper
    Skid Row

    For newer music
    Staind
    Hinder
    System Of A Down
    Serj Tankian
John 5 (He was Mansons' guitarist, but he has some pretty cool solo stuff. His 'Beat it' instrumental cover is sick.)
    Sublime
    Avenged Sevenfold
    Breaking Benjamin

    Heavier stuff
    Static-X
    Coal Chamber
    Powerman 5000
    Cradle Of Filth
    Children Of Bodom

One thing I've noticed is Raggae songs are really good at getting into the workout mood to.

    -Sweat - Inner Circle
    - Red Red Wine - UB40
    Anything by Bob Marley.

I've even put some Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, and Rick James on my mp3 player for workouts.
They are actually good to move to. LOL

System of a Down is a bit...odd. I like their songs Ariels and Chop Suey.

great to get some detailed responses :)
I've tried several times to get more workout songs, but mostly I just get general suggestions or songs that are over played already on the radio. must be the timing at night.

I would suggest checking out Amanda Palmer. Some of her songs are really peppy and can make a workout breeze by.
