A lady I hadn't seen in 2-3 years commented that I've gotten taller. Considering I'm 26 and haven't gained an inch in 12 years, I think she just couldn't process my weight loss :)

I'm a teacher. I pre-plan my days. My nightly routine includes deciding what I want the next day, pre-logging everything into MFP, and then packing my food up before bed. After dinner, I make sure I don't need to make any edits to my log and then I complete the entry.

For me, I just feel like my weight loss/exercise plan/food intake/etc. is not a topic of conversation for my friends. We have so many more interesting things to do and talk about than my jean size. If/when someone makes a negative/sly comment, I choose to brush it off.

A couple of weeks ago, a cicada just dropped from the sky and landed under my foot. 1. I HATE cicadas. 2. That thing crunched sooo loud. Gross!

That sounds like a recipe for injury to me. There is no harm in walking part (or all!) of a 5K. You aren't in contention for placing, so your time only matters to you.

Plan ahead. I plan the next day before I go to bed. If my mood changes, I know how many calories I have to play with.

Well, I'm not looking to be a size 2' but I'm what you described. I'm 5'5" looking to get to about 145 lbs (currently 157 down from 190), but for me 145 lbs will probably be a size 10 (maaaaaybe a size 8 in the right brand). I have hips for days :)

My advice is to cut the negative self talk. Your self is not fat. Your self is kind, and smart, and talented and wonderful. Don't sabotage yourself before you've had a chance to find success! :)
