You might consider just lowering carbs. You have all of the control. So just eat less carbs and up your protein and fats to hit your calorie goal.

Also my first thought. Marinades are pretty amazing, as many have said. I also love a good fruit & veg salsa/relish/pico type of thing. So many combinations.

Try this: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300359/most-helpful-posts-success-stories-must-reads#latest After you read several of these enjoyable threads, you will start to see a pattern: ladies begin by eating very little and doing cardio for hours each week. *Interesting things happen here.* Then those…

I got bored after 60-something just below parallel. Stopped counting, then eventually stopped squating. I've been lifting for 2.5 weeks. I'm a top-heavy 186. 5'10".

Maybe try a fruit smoothie (with or without protein) or a sports drink with real sweetner.

To me, deadlifts feel kind of useless and underwhelming unless I have enough weight on the bar. Dumbells really don't do it for me at all. Btw, deadlifts are my absolute favorite lift, since my very first one. :)

I've found I have to eat a small snack 45 minutes to an hour before lifting, otherwise I have less than half the strength and stamina for weight sessions and I begin to feel miserable fairly quickly. Whey protein and fruit are perfect for me. Hypoglycemia might play a roll in my case. It sounds like you got quite an energy…

^^ This. Back when I went to a gym, I had to pop glucose tabs to be able to drive home. They worked well for me. Maybe worth giving a try.

Any Jillian Michaels video. They're EXTREMELY effective and can be scaled to your desired level of intensity easily.

Not so much 'guessing' as 'trial and error' until you find your sweet spot. Then, a few weeks or months into your progress, the sweet spot will move, and you adjust. It really is easier than it sounds.

I'd love to join if not too late!

Coffee shop called "Brewed Awakening".

I'd recommend doing SL 5x5 (sooo fun. I loved it my first time around) and, like you mentioned earlier, supplement at home with some glute work from Strong Curves. Trust me, you'll need them. I'm doing the SC beginner program right now, to get back ROM and posterior chain strength before starting SL again. However, I may…

1200 calories a night, 4-5 nights a week of just chardonnay. Exactly 2 bottles worth. F***ing INSANE. This is how I gained ALL of my extra 50lbs over 5 years. Very slowly, lazily and with great apathy toward myself and my wellbeing. On the days I would drink, I also almost always skipped dinner. So the only food I'd get…

Yes, but it is always temporary. A few days, a week or two at most. If you are good on everything else, weight loss is really not that fragile. But, don't let sleep deprivation continue for long. It will negatively impact your physical, mental and emotional health. Don't stress about it. Life happens. Just get back to a…

If you don't have access at your gym to heavy free weights, do this: If you do have the equipment at your gym, schedule a personal trainer and try Stronglifts 5x5. It's fun, powerful and effective. And short!

Lol. Hooray!

You are a rock star! You look so confident in your last pic. :)

Amazing. In the first two photos I never could have guessed you have such and incredibly handsome face, let alone the rest of the awesomeness you have going on now.

Def a difference in your thighs. Possibly upper abs, but it's hard to tell. You look fab!
-
I love your enthusiasm. It's infectious!

You're fabulous! And I bet you made your doctor's day.

Yep. I'm 38 and have only started gaining extra weight 4 years ago. I'm sooo not use to it, and my mobility is horrible. The difference 50 pounds makes on my 5'10" frame makes me hate a lot of exercises I used to be okay with. Lifting heavy and elliptical in air conditioning is all I'm going to be doing until I get…

Try reading this thread: community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10052379/unexpected-results-of-weight-loss/p1 It's quite emotional at times, but in a hilarious and positive way. I check in on it every day. B) Even the little things can really keep you going, and this thread gives you a lot to look forward to that you…

Grace, I know what you mean about loosing muscle affecting your daily life. I was much stronger a year and a half ago, and lost it. It feels horrible, worse than the fat I gained since then. I *despise* feeling weak. Therefor, my first TG goal is to safely build back up to using my olympic weight set without overdoing it.…
