I'm in!

Definitely have to force it until it becomes routine. I had to start going to bed earlier. Also, try hydrating before bed. Sometimes early morning sluggishness is from dehydration...and having to pee in the morning will help get you up and moving! Haha

I do something similar with the navy beans. Except, to lower calories, go with Jennie-O turkey ham (way less fat). I also like to add chopped celery (for the whole cook time) and matchstick carrots (I put these in for the last 30 minutes, or they end up way over cooked and turn the whole dish orange)

^^^ This...I'm sure they weren't making fun of you, farts are just funny. I personally can't contain myself when a good ripper cuts loose.

I see everyone pointing out that you don't want to stink, but dirty gym clothes can also cause yeast infections, jock itch, athlete's foot and other fungal infections. Gross, you shouldn't have to ask. Where is your mother?

Personal best is temporary

sounds like he's on the right track, a pound a week is excellent...his main diet concern should be protein intake since he's doing so much strength training, your body needs protein to build muscle...another good reason to join MFP, it easily tracks all your macros

I've been smoke free 2 years ago this July. I also started a weight loss plan at the same time. I was 268 lbs. then, 219 today. I know what you are going through, but stick with it...it gets easier. Instead of snacking to fill the void of cigarette cravings, I would chew on toothpicks, coffee stirrers, or cut up pieces of…

spiderman pushups and mountain climbers, then mix all of this with burpees (squat thrusts)...my set goes like this: from standing, squat, kick legs back to pushup position, do 5 pushups, do 5 mountain climbers, do 5 spiderman pushups, drop to elbows for a 30 second plank, back up to pushup position, bring legs in and stand…

I can hide out under there... I just made you say underwear...

agreed, you have to research and plan for yourself

Remember that this is about healthy living, not about impressing those that obviously don't care about your feelings. I have coworkers that act the same way, and I just use their reaction as fuel to kick *kitten* in my workouts. That way, when I do reach my goal, they will be proven wrong and can Have a huge slice of…

I like the Emerald almonds 100 calorie packs, helps me limit how many I eat.

Continue to be excited about your goals, you have worked hard and deserve to be. She obviously has not, and she is just jealous of your progress. Maybe you could help her come up with alternative choices to the foods she "can't do without". I honestly feel this is just a copout for those who don't want to change anything,…

You should just have a piece of fruit and a small amount of protein (string cheese, almonds, etc.) before your workout, then have an actual meal after. As far as healthy salads, unless you make it yourself, there's not much guarantee. Most places add too much fat, sugar and sodium. But if this is a post-workout meal, you…

I love to share "tricks of the trade" when it comes to exercise and weight loss, and MFP has been great for that! Sending you a FR...

Sounds to me like you might need to detox. Yes, you are flushing out your system daily, but deposits are still made throughout your body. A week of fasting or some type of detox diet should help your liver recover a bit so it can process more efficiently, which will balance out your mineral tolerance. Also, if your insulin…

My carbs are usually between 200 and 250 right now, which is still pretty low according to MFP's goals for me. The book actually would take someone my size down to 50 g a day.

Sweet Emotion Jaded Rag Doll Walk This Way Steven Tyler is a beast!

Activity is definitely number one. You are on the right track. I love to read, so I am always checking out new books and ideas on diet and exercise. I love to share what I have found with others here on MFP. Feel free to add me as friend as well. Karsten

^^^^ Awesome song!

As a kid, it was Linda Carter as Wonder Woman. I used to get real close to the TV when she would do her spin move to change into Wonder Woman, hoping to catch a glimpse of her naked, haha. High school and college it was Faith Hill. I got 3rd row seats to one of her shows once, and, while she was in between songs, I stood…

you spelled "douche" wrong in your profile name...

Absolutely! Don't worry so much about the sweat, it's only water weight, it can easily come back, and you will only frustrate yourself if you watch the scale over it. The activity, however, is extra calories burned on top of your norm, so definitely log it. There are lots of things already in MFP's database that you could…
