I ordered cushions on Amazon for the armrests on my desk chair. lol

Even after losing weight, I don't have nice legs anymore so I'll still avoid shorts. I did find a bathing suit that has short legs on it though so I'm not completely self conscious in a bathing suit now. https://www.swimoutlet.com/p/waterpro-polyester-splice-unitard-8121601/

I have one at work too. I've always needed one though even when I was fat. They keep the air conditioning insanely high in most places during the summer.

Get bicycle shorts. They actually have riding shorts that are built full of padding.

I lost 30 pounds at 53. There's no age limit if you put in effort. :)

Only this. No one really wants advice. They want to hear that you did something magic, and when you start talking about diet and exercise their eyes glaze over. I'm also no expert. Plus if they decide they DO want to follow your example, they sometimes invite themselves into your workout. (Let's be workout buddies!) Which…

Too bad we can't be squat buddies. lol

There's a female weight lifter who i think is one of the sexiest females ever. I'd love to have her figure. After years of over eating fears though, I don't think I could make myself eat enough to build the muscle.
-
Good, I was hoping I had some options with this. thanks!

I'm maintaining a few pounds higher than I'd like. mostly because I still fight emotional eating issues. So far though I am maintaining which I consider a win.

I lost all the fat off my butt! It hurts to sit. I'm still trying to decide if this is all a good idea. lol

These are pretty big reasons, not petty ones, FYI. :*hug*

Not looking like a potato was also my motivation...My family is staying relatively thin and I was the potato. No more.
-
I also eat jerky a lot for the protein. It's relatively low cal and it's filling.

I've never found temp work to be steady or reliable. I'm in IT. It sounds like you just need to find a new company to work for. You wouldn't have the burned out feeling working for someone good. Or work for yourself like someone else said.. that would probably take awhile to build though.

People have been celebrating Halloween for hundreds of years. Obesity is a newer problem. I think you aren't contributing to the decay of society if you let kids have some fun for one night.
-
I went through this too. Vitamins for hair and nails helped it grow back in.

Luckily I don't have adverse physical reactions to crap food, but constantly go to eat something I used to treat myself with and think "Why did I even like this? This is terrible".
-
I don't have arthritis but I also had painful knees when I weighed more. Weight loss did make the pain go away.

I went through this too.. and unfortunately a bunch of them won't even remember tormenting you so you won't get the satisfaction of rubbing it in their faces. You'll probably just have to be satisfied with going in and looking better than them. You will get some compliments but apologies are unlikely.

They also didn't lift. They used girdles cause they were mushy and skinnyfat. And god, whoever thought up "vanity" sizing ought to be shot in the face. Maybe one day we'll get clothes measured by inches too like men's clothes are.
-
Sizes were smaller then though. I wore one of my mom's dresses from the mid 60's and it was labeled size 12. I was a modern size 5 and I got it zipped but couldn't breathe. lol. So a 1970 size 8 might might have been a modern size 4. Edited cuz I can't spell.
