I usually eat a Lean Cousine (approved by my trainer) It's between 250-300 calories and the sodium is low. Good eating!

I would imagine a chest strap would be able to monitor your heart rate better than something on your wrist?

Somtimes you don't need machines or anything except for your body. My personal trainers incorporate a lot of routines using your own body weight. But, we do use the machines a lot also.

I hit a major plateu till the day I started strengh training. Lift the weights - they are your friends!!!!!!

Just my two sense.... I have a Lapland and it helped me lose 80 pounds very quickly. But, guess what? I gained 40 of it back. After my surgery I did not work out and I thought this "tool" was supposed to make me lose everything. As with gastric, you can eat as much as you want. The band does have issues with leaking, etc.…

Thanks for the ideas! I am going to try the gum and jolly rancher idea. I wish I could run 5 miles without the ned for water!!! I can't even run one straight without feeling like i'm going to pass out. I'll get there soon, though.

I'm a beginner runner, so I definitely need the water! My throat gets very dry if I don't drink water. I guess I should also focus on breating out of my nose too so my throat doesn't hurt.

Thanks! I have Under Armour shoes that I bought a couple of months back and never really had issues with them while working out. I should probably get fitted for the right size and get some new shoes! I guess I should stretch more than I do.
