That happens to me every time I start counting calories and exercising again. Like 5 pounds the first week, and then dwindles down to 0.5 to 1 or two a week. I guess it's also motivating to see that much weight drop right away, too.
-
I hope that's the case. Would certainly make things less confusing.
-
Bump. Any other opinions?

Zoloft is the only AD that made me lose weight. I lost 25 pounds in 3 months. Totally curbed my appetite.

Wow. I'm 5'4" and I had to weigh 140 before my size 12s were lose on me! I can barely fit into a 10 now, and I'm 136. I guess people really DO carry their weight differently. I think for me, I have HUGE hips, and tend to carry the weight I have in my stomach. So, pants will fit everywhere else, except up on top near my…

Whoops, ignore this. Tried to delete.

I'm 5'4" and weigh 136 right now. My goal is around 110, maybe lower. We'll see how I feel then.

Reading this helped me feel a little bit better tonight...just a little. I binged on my family's memorial day dinner and like 600 extra calories of peanut butter. Feel like such a failure but I gotta keep on keeping on or else I'll just get even worse. Thanks for posting.
-
That always happens for me too! I find I weigh less when I sleep in till 10 rather than when I wake up at 4:30 in the morning for work. But I guess it makes sense, cause I go longer without food.

I've noticed LoseIt gives me more calories. It says I can eat 1472 calories and lose 1 and a half pounds per week. Whereas with MyFitnessPal AND counting exercise, I can eat 1472 calories and lose 0.6 pounds per week. I say screw it. I'm gonna eat 1472 calories cause I'm starting a new job and I can't go around feeling…

Do you eat your exercise calories back?
-
Yeah, it's my cut value. Thanks.
-
What about on days that I exercise? Just eat the same amount? I'd prefer a steady number and just not eat the exercise calories back.
-
I would eat an entire package of Oreos (either the regular kind, or the peanut butter kind; both are delicious!) I'd also eat like 4-5 things from Taco Bell. I think it was usually like a burrito, soft taco, chalupa, and a Mexican Pizza. I would constantly feel sick after any of those activities. Like, DEATHLY sick. I hate…

Finally, answers that make sense. Thank you all so much! I will try to stick with 1729, and I'll see how it goes. I'm so sick of struggling to make it through the day with 1200-1300 calories. And I definitely agree that 900 is too low. Why would anyone here post that???
-
So 1480 is what I should be eating then? All these different numbers are driving me crazy, lol.

Basic Metabolic Rate (BMR): 1480 Daily Calories to Maintain Weight (TDEE): 2035 Daily Calories based on Goal in Step 6: 1729 So...how many calories should I be eating daily, then? 1729? or 1480? I'm confused...

Well, to be truthful, I'd say my ultimate goal weight right now would be to hit 115, so I'd say that's more than 20 pounds. But yeah, I understand the closer you are to your supposed healthy weight, the longer it would take to lose the pounds. I guess I've forgotten about the days when I was like 170 and losing steadily…

I'll add you! I need all the help I can get. :)
-
You can add me. I'm exactly 5'4" and weigh about 151 right now. Trying to get to 125!
-
Yeah, when I was on Zoloft it made me really jittery and have no appetite whatsoever. Weight came off easily without me even trying. When I went on Remeron, however, it made me gain 20 pounds in 3 months. Supposedly Remeron is what they give to anorexics to eat more. I just went on it because its anti-anxiety effects are…

I just can't stand these supposed "experts" just spouting their opinions at me! I didn't even ask for his opinion! If something's working for me, then who is that guy to judge, you know?
-
*likes this* since we don't have "like" feature on this board. :P
-
Haha, that guy isn't my friend. I don't even know him. He just popped up on one of my friend's pages. But yeah, I'll take a look at some of those links, thanks!

Well I think I was always around 120-125 in high school. I'd settle for 130 right now, but ultimately 125 would be great! It's funny, but even when I hit 140 I start to look pretty decent. So maybe I shouldn't stress so much about hitting my high school weight, eh? (I'm 148 right now)
