Fitness/Daily calorie goal question.

I'm sure this gets posted all the time-- but when adjusting my fitness/calorie goals, I noticed that if I put that I'm sedentary, but want to exercise 6 times per week for about 30 minutes, it gives me the SAME daily calorie goal (1200) than if I just put no exercise goals at all.
Why is that? I like eating my exercise calories back but I'm wondering how factoring in the exercise goals even makes a difference if your calorie goal is still the same either way?
Hope this makes sense...

I don't think how often you exercise gets taken into account. It's just a goal for you to set and try to achieve each week.0

I hope that's the case. Would certainly make things less confusing.0
