  • 1. No more heartburn. 2. No more symptoms of sleep apnea - sleeping WAY better! 3. No more plantar faciitis (heel pain all of the time). 4. Feel SO MUCH better! 5. Feel empowered by the knowledge that I can really do this and change my life for the better. 6. Fitting in clothes I haven't been able to wear for at least a…
  • Weight last week: 189 (same as week before) Weight today: 187!! Yay! Last week was the first time since November that the scale didn't go down for me, but I knew the reason why. The week before I got off track for a week in my eating and pretty much took an entire week off of watching calories with working out about 1/2 of…
  • Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese - 35 calories per triangle, I like to eat it with an apple everyday. Raw almonds are a great snack, I usually eat 12 of them everyday. And I keep some portioned out in my purse in baggies for an on-the-go snack. While shopping for cheese for the occasional sandwich when I have to bring my…
  • I eat chocolate almost everyday. What I found worked best for me was to switch from the milk chocolate candy which frequently has other bad for you stuff in it, too, like high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils to dark chocolate which is supposed to have antioxidants and be good for you in limited…
  • I try to view this instead as an investment in my health. If I continued eating poorly (but cheaply) the money would probably later come out in medical bills anyway!
  • "just remember that while losing weight your cycle can become disrupted and abnormal." Why is this? I was a week late (very unusual for me) and was very worried about it. I was wondering if that means I am not getting adequate calories or nutrition? I took the week off from watching my calories or doing most of my exercise…
  • Your daily goals are with a deficit already calculated in for weight loss. So when you exercise you can eat more and still have a deficit. When you eat all of your calories you are still at a deficit because that is how the site is set up. Eating all of your calories will keep you from going into starvation mode and your…
  • Everyday for a snack in the mid-late afternoon I have an apple with one of those Laughing Cow light swiss cheese wedges. Together this is 107 calories. I slice up the apple and dip it in the cheese. It is super filing and satisfying.
  • Weight on 1/2/08: 191 Weight today: 189 I lost 2 pounds this week!I was hoping for more, since I had already lost 2 pounds from Wednesday-Saturday, but 2 pounds is 2 pounds, right?
  • Why risk it? It sounds like it definitely doesn't agree with him and I'm sure you would want to error on the side of caution. I personally cannot use artificial sweeteners without getting a headache so I don't use them.
  • You don't have to allow them to weigh you at all. You can just tell them you'd prefer not to. They will respect your wishes.
  • Thank you all for your ideas. I can't think of a cheap way to get tested to see if I'm anemic so I think I will just try taking a multivitamin with iron first to see if there is any improvement. I probably need the vitamins anyway. Thanks.
  • The iron is an idea. I haven't cut out red meat but I have never eaten much red meat, so that may be a possibility. Thanks for that idea.
  • Thank you for the replies. That makes sense about fat insulating, I had thought that before. The reason I started wondering if it could be muscle after my husband said that was because most men are warmer than women even though they have less percent of fat in general. No, I have never smoked. The reason I am asking this…
  • I have been really freezing all the time (well, not when working out) since I have lost my weight. I just noticed it probably a few weeks ago. This is definitely a new thing since the weight loss. Does anyone know how the two could be connected? I was talking to my husband and made a joke that I still had plenty of fat to…
  • My weight last Wednesday 1/2/08: 191 pounds. I'll post my weight again on Wednesday.
  • I can't do anything for those I lost except to keep them in my heart, remember them. its time to get of the pity pot and move on with my life and it starts today. You are an inspiration! What an awesome attitude and I am so impressed by you! You will do it!
  • As a mother who does not work full-time, but only a few hours a week from my home I have to say - you have a tremendous amount of stuff on you!! Please get off your own back! I don't think it is realistic to expect to be able to do the same amount you did before children + the added stress of working full-time. It's not…
