They've had to split out skills test over two days - so we now wont find out until after next week (hitting/blocking and the 25 in 5mins) My crossovers and Tstops sucked - I doubt I've passed.
-
So minimums tomorrow... not going to be sick...
-
The main list is two months behind :(
-
Counting down until sunday and trying not to think too much about it.

I can glide for a bit on each leg, but my head just can't get around cross overs - I have the skills test this Sunday and theres so much I can't do.

The one I really wanted has now been taken *sad face* but I think I've picked a new one.

Thank you! I think with the skill test in a few weeks I'm freaking out on what I can and can't do. I'm not the fastest in Fresh Meat, but I’m loving it. I’m just annoyed with myself that I can’t do something in the lower part of skills but blocking I’m fine! I have to keep telling myself I was off skates for the first four…

When I roller derby train I wear it down under my helmet and when I train at the gym I wear it down. It’s too heavy to pull up unless it’s covered in spray – which I can’t be bothered for at the gym.

Yep, avoid SleazyJet like the plague if you want a good size seat!
-
I’ve been sat behind a couple that bought the whole row because they needed the room, which is fine, what wasn’t fine is the fact that she was so big the seat pushed right back on to me. Seriously the seat was an inch away from my face. I wouldn’t have been able to use the tray and luckily the flight was pretty empty…

The women who manages to leave half her hair in the shower. Seriously go and get better extensions, you must spend a fortune having to replace all that weave. She does this once a week. Those who let their kids run around the changing room screaming. Normally they have just come out of the pool and this means everything…

I buy them in boxes via the Nakd site - I LOVE them

Derby also feels like a family - they will help and support you. I didn't know anyone and they totally 'adopted' me. They will want you to do well as you might end up their team mate, they wont send you out there if they don’t think you’re ready. And if you don’t end up skating there’s always being an NSO.

Tesco kids microwave meals are really nice and low cal. I love the mac and cheese one.
-
They teach you how to skate. I only started in Jan and can skate now. Most of the time they really want you to do well so help you out.
-
I never used to, but then I would just go out with friends and not think about it - when I didn't think about it guys would hit on me. If you go out thinking you want to be hit on people pick up on that and get scared off, if you go out relaxed and not worried about it, people get drawn to you.

Cheese, Cheese and Cheese... Mainly Gorgonzola.

I’m currently in the Fresh Meat program for the London Rockin Rollers, I’ve been waiting just under a year for try outs – got injured at tryouts but now I’m back on skates and ready to go. I’ve loved derby for a really long time, but only this year got up the nerve to get on skates. I’ve been gyming for over a year and all…

I'm going to Madrid in June, with four of my best friends (who are all in amazing shape) I'll turn 26 while I'm out there. The hotel we're staying in has a roof top pool...

Battle scars are cool, but pictures of freshly broken bones and ingrown toe nails...

I had a guy cook dinner for me, we both ended up with food poisoning or there’s ‘broken bone dude’ who showed me pictures of all of the bones he had broken...
