  • I did a very low carb diet (under 20 carbs per day), got really sick in week 2 and was told that it was carb flu as well. I know carb flu does exist but I went through it and on to more problems. On week 3 I started getting dizzy spells. On week 4 I got severe cramps in my legs and back that I had never felt before in my…
  • That is another issue and something that you will deal with in a lot of situations when you change your lifestyle. You might have friends or kids or relatives who are the same way. It's not their fault or their skills that make their metabolism that way. It's just the way they were born. Worry about yourself.
  • I have a skinny husband who likes to eat junk food too. He buys frozen dinners and I cook for myself. It works really well for me and he likes not having to eat healthier lol.
  • This thread has had me laughing so hard today I think I might just track it as cardio lol. I got my boyfriend to come with me to the gym one day and we were each on a treadmill next to each other. There were a few other people in there doing ellipticals but no one was using the weights. Lo and behold Mr. Remote Control…
  • Welcome back! Cut yourself some slack during the first week to adjust to getting back on track and don't give up :)
  • Thank you very much for the info so far. I have been friends with the treadmill for months now lol but I can definitely start carrying weights as I do it! That is a great idea :) Next time I see my cardiologist I will ask about any exercises he recommends. A friend of mine just brought up pilates today as strength training…
  • Yayyy! I got one yesterday - iced with nonfat milk and no whip. It is worth the calories. Red Mango is also going to serve Pumpkin Spice flavored frozen yogurt soon which I am looking forward to as well!
  • I have a heart condition so I can't do these insanity, p90x, 30 day shred, super hard crazy workouts. I like Debra Mazda's dvds. I got one from Netflix and then I bought 2 more videos from her store and love all of them. I also like Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds videos.
  • You HAVE to try syrups by either DaVinci or Torani. They are amazing. They have a million flavors. I have found them in Super Walmart near the coffee and in stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's etc. in the food gift aisles too. They make sugar free versions too. I can't say enough good things about them. I used to be a…
  • Lentil burgers and lentil ricotta meatballs from this site are both sooooo good. I just posted this in another thread, people are gonna think I own this site but I swear I don't LOL! I just made a lentil meatball mixture tonight for tomorrow night's dinner. Mmmm they are the best.…
  • I don't know what the difference is between all the different kinds of lentils but I make this recipe with brown lentils. It is delicious and I've turned some of my friends onto lentils this way! :flowerforyou: http://www.injennieskitchen.com/2010/02/lentil-ricotta-meatballs.html
  • I know it sucks to start over but look at it this way - when you were on track you lost 20lbs in 4 months. You have until October to lose some weight and feel good about yourself before you head off to vacation. That means you have the ability to lose 10lbs before then, at the very least. You can do it :)
