  • Bit late to the party but let's give it a go. Start 8th October 2017 - 123.2kg October target - 116.5kg 08/10/17: 123.2kg 10/10/17: 120.5kg
  • I'm 48, 5'6" tall. I've tried various diets over the years but nothing has really stuck. I've always had excuses - I had a kidney transplant in 2005 and the drugs have wrought havoc. I put on loads of weight. My dad died in June 2011 and I hadn't seen him for 6 months and so I took comfort in food. Then I couldn't find…
  • From reading all the other replies, I think you know what you need to do. You should be losing weight for yourself not for him. If he can't accept you as you are, then he doesn't deserve to have you at all. How would he feel if you suddenly came out with a comment like that to him?
  • That is awesome. I've been going since January and have lost 42 pounds so far. A few weeks ago I tried on a couple of pairs of shorts that hadn't seen the light of day for 12 months and they fitted. I was beyond thrilled. Of course, it's nothing like your outcome but little steps and one day I'll be there. :)
  • I bought new knickers at Christmas - big ones for comfort - and today while carrying the food plates to the dining table, they fell down :blushing: Luckily there's only me and hubby so we had a good laugh. Loose drawers? Definitely a victory for me
  • No tatoos for me. I love watching the Miami and LA Ink shows and admire the artwork. I'm far too much of a coward to get one myself.
  • You are not alone. I think we've all hit that OMG stage or we wouldn't be here. Feel free to add me. I have a long way to go yet but am happy to tag along with someone else. I too hate photos of myself. I see myself in mirrors and in reflections and sometimes can't believe it's me. In my head I don't think I look as big as…
  • That's excellent progress. I started my diet on the 6th January and, as of today, I've lost 27 pounds. The last week or so have been a challenge as I've put a bit of weight back on and it's proving difficult to shift. I'm just taking it one day at a time.
  • I'm English and I was brought up with stones, pounds and ounces as weight measurements. I have a hard time figuring things out in kilogram or gram - mainly because I can't visualise it in my head. I have the same issue with length measurements - I was brought up on feet and inches so metres and centimetres are lost on me.…
  • Like many others who posted before me, I really needed to see this today. I've had a really bad week. Somewhere along the way I've managed to gain 6 pounds after losing 30 pounds. I've been depressed and have found myself standing in front of an open pantry/fridge/freezer contemplating the contents. I haven't cheated - yet…
  • Fantastic! I love to see before and after pics. It helps to inspire me and to show that it can be done.
  • After a quick scan through, I think I must be the heaviest person here :blushing: I'm 5'6" and at the beginning of Jan I weighed 146.6kg/323 pounds. My latest photo is from July last year at my dad's funeral. I was horrified with how I looked but instead of dieting, I just started eating more. In time it took to post this,…
  • Congratulations! When I see posts like this it inspires me to carry on. Keep it up.
