  • W3D2 is now in the books.
  • There's an old saying "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper." That sounds like what you'd be doing.
  • I agree that 100 mi is not enough to *need* new shoes (if you just *want* new shoes, that's a different story - I bought a 2nd pair after only about 50 mi so I could alternate).
  • I weigh-in on Sundays.
  • I may be wrong, but I was always under the impression that you may not burn a lot of calories *during* weight training, but by building and strengthening muscles, you end up burning calories for a lot longer *after* the work out is done. So I don't look to burn a lot during the workouts. I can understand how that could be…
  • Well, I'm back for another try. I think I am going to re-adjust my LMP goal from 3x a week to 2x a week. I need to be realistic about my schedule and how busy things are at work. If I can do LMP 2x a week this week, I will count it a success. I also want to get in a long run of at least an hour this week.
  • I really appreciate the way you're looking at things. I know it was just a low-energy, high-stress week. They happen and I need to be able to cope with that. At least I ran.
  • Well, I failed Week 1. 0/3 for the week. Things were just too busy and stressful and I didn't make my goal at all. I barely got in 3 runs this week. And I ate quite badly as well. But onward and upward! On to Week 2!
  • Hmmm... goal..... I guess my goal for this first week is to do 3 days of LMP. I have been pretty consistent about running 2-3 days a week since the first of the year; but I've been less than diligent about cross-training (I'm considering LMP my X-training). If I can manage to do it at least 3 days a week during this…
  • Wow! That right there is why I am starting to lift!! Great job! Edited because random words just thrown in make one sound crazy!
  • Since my official weigh-in day is Sunday, I've posted my beginning weight today. I only weigh-in once a week. I will add my measurements later today or tomorrow (haven't decided yet). Here goes the challenge! Good luck, everyone! :drinker:
  • Thanks for doing this. This looks like a great way to keep accountability and encouragement up. I have a question: For the challenge, do we have to follow the LMP calendar as is or do we just do 90 days of LMP? Because I'm at Pump and Burn now and I wouldn't think I would have to start all over. Or just in case I might…
  • Pump and Burn tonight. Yikes!!! I'm quivering and sweating like a wildebeest! Gonna take a bit to master that ab section. I think I love it though! LOL
  • I totally agree with the quoted. I started C25K in March 2011. I too, was able to finish each day/week without cheating but it was always a challenge. I just kept plugging away and completed it in May. Since then I have gradually increased distance which has resulted in an increase in speed. I'm still very slow but am…
  • Hi, I just found this group, but I am ready to start Pump and Burn tomorrow. I did the Challenge for 4 days. Still not sure my form is perfect, but just so excited to move on. A bit about me: I'm 50, work in a school as a secretary, used to be fit and trim about 25 yrs ago when I was in the Army, but since have let myself…
  • Ok, I just finished my first week of LMP. I definitely feel it all over! But I also feel so much stronger in general. I run on my non-lifting days. I found it too difficult to try to log here on MFP, so I'm using another site, but just recording my weekly weigh-in here. How is everyone else doing?
  • +1 on the Bondi Bands! I sweat buckets, but it never drips in my eyes anymore. I'm constantly amazed at them.
  • I do! I was in the Army about 25 yrs ago, when I was young and fit. Now that I've started back trying to get fit, I find that running to cadence helps me keep a reasonable pace. If I can't call back the response, I know I'm running too hard. And yes, they get in your head.
  • I got my Les Mills Body Pump DVDs and did the first one. Not sure how to log it since MFP wants me to tell how many reps, etc. :ohwell:
  • I'm not understanding why you are discouraged: You've lost a little over 1 lb. in a little over one week. That is exactly what is recommended!
  • So just wondering how the Saucony Razors worked out for you?
  • I actually just ordered the new Body PUMP DVDs from Beachbody and am waiting for them to arrive. So stoked, can't wait!
  • I bought a pair of Saucony Razors. They're trail-running booties. They come up around the ankles and they are waterproof, yet my feet can breathe. They have done so well, in fact, that both my son and my best friend have bought themselves a pair as well.
  • Me too! Although I have a small frame, my hips seem to indicate that I won't look well below about 135 or so. Will re-evaluate once I get there, though. Long way till then, however! LOL
