  • Same here - we are a pitbull family. We have a pitbull and a black lab, and I always say if I could combine them into one dog it would be the best dog ever. The pit is loyal, affectionate, friendly, but not always the best listener. As a pit owner, you probably know what I mean. The lab listens well but otherwise acts like…
  • VERY VERY GOOD!!!!
  • Hi, I was tracking properly and exercising every day I was eating 1700-1900 calories (net) and adjusting a little bit along the way. I do log my exercise, because I like seeing it lync to Facebook, because then all my friends encourage me, but I'm thinking maybe I should log it as 1 calorie. You're exactly right, I stopped…
  • I just bought it and plan to start tonight. My question is what do you do after the 30 days are over? Start again?
  • I just got back from vacation and tried my best to eat right, but at times it wasn't easy just because of the choices. When we went out, I ordered kids meals for the kids and picked at their food. I brought my own normal snacks that I eat when not on vacation. But I ate some fried stuff, and some ice cream (had to - we…
  • you look so completely different. great great work. I love that you have a dream and are working for it.
  • great work! I change my calories around whenever I get stuck. Sometimes I'm at 1,800, sometimes 1,500, sometimes 1,300. Right now I'm at 1,500 and moving again. It seems I have to do this every 4-5 weeks or so.
  • My snacks are protein bars (love Luna Peanut Butter Cookie) and honey roasted peanuts.
  • I sleep when I'm tired, drink when I'm thirsty and eat when I'm hungry!
  • wow! great work! Isn't it amazing to think you were over 300 pounds? You look great!
  • This! my husband thinks I have fallen in love here, or with someone at the gym, because he doesn't understand why I'm so addicted to it. He could care less about a healthy lifestyle so I'm left with losing the weight, feeling great about myself, and knowing it is hurting him because he doesn't get it. He's happy for me of…
  • I pretty much follow the same schedule as you and the only thing I like about Saturday morning is I have the rest of the day free. I usually get to the gym around 7 each night after work and Saturday around 8:30-9:00 (or in the case of today, probably around 10:30)! I am thankful for the Saturdays where I don't have any…
  • great work in 135 days! you look so happy. I think the word morbid sucks too. keep it up!
  • what a nice dresser you are! you look fantastic :) great work.
  • 5' 8 1/2" here and my goal is anywhere in the 170's - preferably the lower end! I was 140's in high school, 160 when I was married 14 years ago, and 172 when I got pregnant the first time. Sure I'd like to be back in the 160's, but I felt really good in the 170's, and I'll be happy when I get there. Anything else is just…
  • I have mine for breakfast and sometimes have another one post workout if I am hungry or don't feel like cooking.
  • beautiful story, hard work, gorgeous girl! and a Sox fan!
  • I love this - pictures mean so much more when there is a great story behind it. Congratulations!
  • This is so interesting. I walk for 45 minutes on a treadmill and the treadmill and MFP calories burn almost always match, and they are never over 700 calories, usually around 267. I always thought MFP caculates calories burned the same for everyone but I guess not! I use a pedometer which I enter my age and weight into and…
  • I've talked with my doctor about PCOS as I have many of the symptoms. What do you mean by horrific periods? Heavy bleeding? Would love to hear more about the spearmint.
  • I'm curious about this too. Currently I don't log calories for strength training
  • 4.0 mph, 10% incline, for 45 minutes
  • you look great!! I saved the two dresses I wore in weddings last year and can't wait to get to 54 pounds so I can try them on too!
  • good or bad, it doesn't matter to me, this is one thing I could never give up!
  • Hi, I did an experiment last week and this is what I found: HRM with chest strap - more than twice as high as the machine (I'm returning my HRM) Pedometer - 100 calories higher than the machine MFP - almost right on with the machine The treadmill I use doesn't ask for my weight. The HRM and pedometer do. I've been using my…
  • Amazing!! You look completely different!
  • Ice cream. I grew up in a house where we had ice cream for desert every night (my dad still does!!). so, I buy the kind I don't like, so I won't even bother with it. I also live very close to a Dairy Queen and am happy to say I haven't been yet this year, because I know if I have one, I will be there all the time. Our DQ…
  • My husband doesn't take care of his own self and therefore doesn't seem to have much to say about my weight loss. The only support I really get is he stays home with the kids while I go to the gym. I've been ignoring myself for 10 years because of the kids and this year I just decided it's my year, and I'm going to workout…
  • One of my friends here on MFP told me to eat the most calories for breakfast, less for lunch and even less for dinner. I do the opposite for the most part. My breakfast and lunch are about the same, my dinner is usually low in calories (I do sometimes have a smoothie, when I don't feel like cooking anything at the end of…
  • I think this is great, and would feel flattered. We are all at the gym for the same reason, yes? For the most part I think we are. Seems like a good place to make new friends too, at least you know you have one thing in common! It sounds like you are doing great work, keep going!
