5'8" ladies, what is your goal weight?
I'm 5'8" & I'm really just trying to figure out a reasonable weight to be my ultimate goal.
I'm very close to my first goal weight that I set for myself when I first started this journey!! its completely unreal to be honest.
I know that EVERYONE is different how they carry the weight on their body, etc... & while looking at weight charts for height & age has been helpful, I just want some actual answers from REAL WOMEN!!!!!!!
thanks in advance!!

I'm 5'8" and 55 years old my first goal is 160 and then I see from there it has been over 30 years since I've been under 200 lbs. so I have no idea how I'll look ... I think I'm looking preety good already.0

I'm 5'7 and 3/4
My goal weight is 125 . . . I'd be ok with 130 if I can manage to maintin it long term.0 -
I started at about 189, only down to 183 now. But ultimately I'm hoping to get to 140, 135. But I'll probably judge as I go to figure out what will look good on me0

I'm 5'8 and want to be 130. I've been lower and looked too thin and higher I don't feel comfortable.0
-
I'm aiming for 150, but really, that's just a first step. I've never been that skinny, so I don't know what it'll look like on me. So really, I'm just waiting to get to the size that I'm happy and feel healthy in.0

I currently weigh 124 and I'm not trying to get to a specific weight I'm just trying to focus on lowering my body fat percentage and gaining muscle, so I dont care what my weight is as long as I look good0

I'm 5'8" nearly 5'9 and currently 164. My goal is around 140-ish, and with my build I think much below that would begin looking malnourished. I've been told that if I go much below 135 I'm going to be force-fed chocolate cake0

I am just over 5'7"- my goal is 130 pounds. Still a ways to go to get there....0

140 is my goal but really that is still so far away that it could change once I get down there.0
-
i have my goal weight set as 140, but to be honest im got to rethink that number when i get to 160ish. because i think i might look good at that weight.0

I'm 5' 8 1/2" and my original goal weight (from 167) was 140. Then 130. Then I accidentally went to 115!
Now I'm up to 120 and my new goal isn't about the scale but about being able to lift heavy things - so I won't be dismayed if the scale hits 130+.0 -
I'm 5'7.5", and my goal is actually 20% body fat, which with my current lean mass will put me at 168.0
-
Mine was 145, now Its 138.0

I'm 5'9" and trying to get back to my Pre-pregnancy weight of 130. I have been thinner and think I look too thin when under 130.0

5' 8 1/2" here and my goal is anywhere in the 170's - preferably the lower end! I was 140's in high school, 160 when I was married 14 years ago, and 172 when I got pregnant the first time. Sure I'd like to be back in the 160's, but I felt really good in the 170's, and I'll be happy when I get there. Anything else is just extra0

I'm 5'7" and 137 lbs, at 20% body fat. I'd love to be 134 at 18% body fat...but I feel great now, so if it doesn't happen I'll be just fine.0
-
I'm 5'9 and my goal weight is 135 lbs. My starting weight was 168 and my current weight is 148.0
-
When I get to 145 I'll re-evaluate. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy around the 140-150 range.0

I'm 5'8 and have maintained between 130 and 135 for the last 14 years (after losing 35 pounds before that). After all this time I've decided I'd like to see what between 120 and 125 looks like.0

5'8.5" sw: 165 cw: 151 gw: 149 although I think my new goal will be 145.. there's still a bit of flab on my thighs, knees and arms. After that I will tone.0

Jadejasper I love your banner!!!
I'm 5'8", 59 years old, and this has been a subject of debate for me. My doctor and my husband both say 160 pounds would be fine. I remember weighing 160 and it definitely didn't feel good on my bones. When I felt my best I weighed 135 lbs but that was decades ago. So I've decided to go to 155 (from 198) and then see...and my doctor agreed that was reasonable. Bottom line for me is what's healthy and feels right to ME since it's my body.
Thanks for starting this discussion!0 -
THANK YOU LADIES!!!!! congrats to all of you who have lost that weight!!! woooo hooo!!!!!!!!!!! you all look great!
these answers have definitely helped me.
my first goal weight was 150. I started at like 198 which was the heaviest I've ever been! gag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
right now, I'm SO CLOSE to 150. I'm at 157. this is the first time EVER seeing 150 anything on the scale!!!!!! I've been overweight for all of my adult life & most of my teenage life! so to me, this is completely unreal. I really wanted answers as to where I should be on the scale since I had no clue other than from reading weight & height charts & before those just seemed so unrealistic, haha.
thank you so much for all your comments!!!!0
