Up at 4:00am, grab a cup of coffee and bowl of Grape Nuts. Head to the gym (which is located less than 5 minutes away) to work out until about 6:15. If I am going out for a long run, then I skip the cereal and just grab a Fiber One bar. I do this on Mondays, Tuesdays ... skip Wednesdays to let my body get more sleep…

Uhm, ouch

What she said. Just enjoy the run, add a little distance or time as you go (every day, other day, week, etc) ... whatever works for you. I think it is a great goal for you to try, kudos. Plus once you register, you'll see your motivation to accomplish the goal increase.

I was 19 and worked as a gas station attendant while going to college part time. My girlfriend at the time was pregnant and we were trying to decide how to best start this 'family' of ours. Her parents we pressuring her to have me make a decision, (Army, Air Force, or labor job). I was not necessarily sharing my thoughts…

I have had people try and convince me of this a number of times. I have a Diet Coke at night ... for love all that is holy, I need something with flavor after a day of water after water. I don't have one every night, but I will occasionally. And if I am feeling particularly rebellious, I throw the uber fitness fanatics…

For the most part, I do incorporate the calories burned into my diet. Maybe not all of them, but since my exercise consists of up-tempo cardio and/or weight training ... my body needs the nutrients to replenish what was lost during the workout. My wife walks for 35-40 minutes on a treadmill daily, she has the same method.…

I use the 91-100 calories per mile model (runnersworld.com) no matter the speed or incline. I'd rather error on the side of entering too low calorie count than high for just the reason the original poster cited ... disappointed.

May have to give this a go. Interesting.

Is that you one the bike?! I am down on one knee now - lol

The words in the frame above you appear to be backwards. Maybe not the MOST obvious ... but interesting nonetheless.

Great progress shots. Props !!!

Excellent work so far! Please keep posting progress pics. I love all the different stories people put on here.

I am simply at awe with all these stories. Again, amazing job and major kudos to you and your dedication.

That is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Up at 4:00am so that I can be ready to run or go to the gym by 5:00am. I really prefer the morning hours.

pffft ... 10 easy

You absolutely have an infectious smile.

Nah bro, you got your own life now ... no need revisiting anything from the past. Neither of you are the same you were back then, not sure the code still applies. Also, I would think the mere fact it doesn't bother/affect you would point to your wife the dedication you have to her and where you 2 are heading.

Same here, except I prefer Bacardi with the Diet Coke. I was well under in my calorie intake today, so I grabbed a Mich Ultra while I was grilling the chicken.

Would be curious to hear the follow-up on this as my daughter wants it for our Kinnect.

I absolutely have cheat days. But as with everything else it all depends on personal preference and ensuring you do not fall off the wagon all together. What are your goals? I want to lose 1 to 1.5 lbs a week, so if I am good throughout the week, a cheat day doesn't effect my weight loss at all. I am diligent with my diet…

What was the breakfast? I am curious to give that a try.

Nice. I am missing some blueberry snacks. Will have to give this one a try.
