Hiya! 40 M here getting back on MFP to lose 20-30 lbs. I like weight training (Starting Strength), a bit of cardio, and trying to cut down on carbs (liked Gary Taubes books). Looking for motivators, role models, friends, and entertainers – and I’ll try to return the favor.

I just started trying low carb this week-I'm on day 5. Was a bit light-headed and and had some headaches earlier in the week but feeling good now. I basically stayed away from bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and still hit 50-80 net carbs (after subtracting fiber) per day. I' m enjoying my egg whites, sausage and spinach…

Hi Deandre, Have you heard to Starting Strength or Stronglifts 5x5? Both are good strength programs to build muscle and put on weight. Good luck!

I'm recovering from shoulder surgery 7 weeks ago- still rehabbing and can't do much other exercise. I am back on here to lose 25-20 lbs.
