I did my first whole30 in September and haven't looked back since. My skin has a very healthy glow, I sleep much more soundly, and have been able to maintain energy throughout the day. Now i know you're not supposed to look at the numbers, but I have lost 22 pounds in 8 - 10 weeks. I joined MFP back in January in order to…

I went out and bought whey protein immediately :) (body fortress). I have been having 1 cup coconut greek yogurt, 1 tsp almond butter, 2 scoops protein and mixing with water to keep the calories down to about 500. it's been my breakfast and mid-morning snack for the last 2 days and i definitely feel more full and satisfied…

I agree...this seems to go against everything that's been programmed. I currently net 1200 - 1400 per day and haven't lost a pound in months. I've been concentrating on eating really clean, adding more strength training, and increasing my protein intake. I will try to increase my cals to 1600 - 1800 to see if that makes a…

I had morning sickness day and night for a straight 14 weeks. i only felt better when i was snacking. Anywho...i'm slowly, but surely, getting back to…

...and to get back to a less serious note, make sure you new mommies stock up on those lovely pads and undies at the hospital They look ridiculous but really come in handy once you're home. ...it's normal to want to send your baby back to the hospital on your first night home when he/she won't stop crying, ...and don't…

I have to look into IGT!! I wonder if that was my problem too. I saw a lot of LC and they essentially told me that I wouldn't be able to. They would weigh my daughter, i'd nurse her for 30 to 40 minutes and they'd weigh her again. She wouldn't even gain 1/10 of an ounce. It was very difficult to come to terms with. Good…

I wasn't able to breast feed...for whatever reason, my milk didn't come in. I felt guilty and disappointed, etc. I think as a new mom, you just expect to breast feed and that it will be easy and "normal". However, looking back, I wish someone would have told me that it my baby would be just fine being fed formula. I have a…

if you can do 10 mi well, than the half won't be a problem. I always take it easy the week of and just do nice easy runs. I usually wouldn't run at all, and would really just try to relax the day before. Lots of water all week if you can. Have fun and good luck!

I recently did a 4 day cleanse and loved it. My very fit/healthy yoga instructor suggested it so I figured it would be a huge challenge...it really wasn't that difficult. Here's the basic plan: 1. veggies - as many as you like prepared how you like (raw, steamed, baked, frozen, etc) 2. fruits - as many as you like prepared…
