  • Was about to say something to this effect...
  • Hi, would love to add some friends, as I'm new and short also (5'0"). Currently have about 30 more lbs to go, but really interested in just enjoying life in the meantime instead of putting it on hold. I'm in the USA, Georgia and I am a teacher, 43 yrs. old/young ;)
  • Peanut butter and banana sandwich, string cheese, a few almonds and an apple... Was a staple for my lunches before I started using Bistro Md. Also love hummus with cucumber slices or baby carrots...I was taking a tub of hummus and tossing some kalamata olives and sun-dried tomatoes on top.
  • Interesting topic, especially since I just this year decided to start doing bucket list things NOW instead of "when I lose weight"... So I am now trying to schedule things, something each 3 months or so, subject to available credit, lol. March is the Bioluminescent Bay in Puerto Rico, June is the Rusty Wallace racing…
  • I have to add my mini-moo creamers to my calorie count every day, but what helped me cut down on coffee was buying a Keurig. The coffee (at least the extra bold roast I buy) is so much richer than regular brewed coffee that I just don't need as much. Less coffee has led to less creamer cals.
  • Our local Farmer's Market got a grant that allowed people using food stamps to pay to receive half off all the fresh produce... I thought that was the coolest thing! If they chose to buy healthy stuff, their money went twice as far :)
  • I saw one due to a diabetes diagnosis, but was really thin at the time so she was more concerned with the balance of foods, but I think they work around your personal goals. She gave me food lists of the lowest and highest glycemic index, for instance. Good luck :)
  • I saw one years ago and found it helpful. They generally know their stuff and can look over a food diary and pinpoint trouble areas, make good recommendations, etc.. I just hired a personal trainer for the first time myself, so I'm all about using expert resources now ;)
  • This is so true! I recently decided to only eat foods I LOVE, that calories are too short to waste on bad food... So think up ( and plan for) some healthy foods you actually enjoy eating...try to stock up on something in each category (fruit, vegetable, etc). Best wishes to you!
