  • Thanks for the suggestion. I took a look at it, but it won't work because I don't have some of the required equipment. I don't have the chin up bar or the resistance bands.
  • Thanks for the suggestion, but I wash mine once a week in the washing machine already. :)
  • I've tried about half of the ones I have saved here: https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/Cookbooks.asp?id=1053748 The marinara chicken, chicken taco stew (with a regular can of diced tomatoes and extra salsa added instead of the diced tomatoes with chilies) and the turkey chili are my ultimate favorites so far.
  • I use sparkrecipes (https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/home.asp) for my recipes. You can search the recipes based on what your dietary needs are. I use my crockpot alot which is the most awesome thing ever since I pretty much just put all the ingredients in and it does the rest for me.
  • I live alone as well; budget not as tight though... but just last year I was eating frozen and prepared meals before I discovered slow cooking a few months ago and got a crock pot. Spark recipes has some awesome slow cooker recipes. Here is the collection of items that I have found on there (I have tried about half of them…
  • I usually cook something in the crock pot every Sunday and make so much that I have leftovers all week. I will sometimes cook one or two other quick meals on Sunday, so I have a variety of leftovers to choose from all week.
  • Height: 5'7 1/2 (pretty close to 5'8 :) ) Starting weight (before MFP): 184 (February 2009) Starting weight (after joining MFP): 165 (January 2012) Current Weight: 148 Goal Weight: 140 The picture below is pretty much all I have, I don't really like having my picture taken that much. The picture of the left, I am 158…
  • I started with 3 lbs (1.3 kg) and now I can do most moves with 8 lbs (3.6 kg). I can do some moves with 10lbs (4.5 kg). Definitely start with what you feel like you can handle and then work your way up. I sometimes find that I can do a certain amount of reps of a move with a heavier weight, but then I have to switch to a…
  • Unfortunately, I don't have a before and after picture of my Bodyshred results exclusively, but I will say that I feel like I have seen great results since before Bodyshred the pair of size 4 pants I bought were a little too snug, but since I have started the second round of the program, they now actually fit and I will be…
  • I hike and rotate through various Jillian Michaels DVDs; right now I am going through my second round of Bodyshred. I love her and I have seen some amazing results from doing her DVDs! I've also completed Insanity, Insanity Max 30 and T25. Saw some great results from these as well. They are just too focused on cardio and I…
  • I make a batch of hard boiled eggs at a time (7-8) every week or so and have one each morning. I also cook quick cooking oatmeal (its comes in the big tubs, not the individual packages with the different flavorings). I add cinnamon to it to give it some flavor. All in all, I am done with breakfast in about fifteen minutes.
  • I can only repeat what others have said... wait until the last minute to buy a new bra. That's what I did. Make sure to get measured before you get the bra, so you have the right size.
  • I hope it's not bad that I had to go look up what "recomp" means... never heard of it. Thank you for the compliment!
  • Uh-oh... I have a cat! Hope she stays away from it! Thank you! Now, if I could only decide what brand to get...
  • I wear mine clipped inside my pocket. If what I am wearing doesn't have a pocket then I clip it on the waistband. If I am wearing a dress, I just clip it on my underwear.
  • As a teacher, I can tell you that yes... I am on my feet ALL day. The only time I sit down is at lunch (for like, ten minutes!) and during planning time (only if I am grading papers or in a meeting). Usually, during planning, I am running around getting copies made, checking my box, checking in which the other social…
  • I am a teacher! I teach sixth grade social studies. I am on here daily, so feel free to add me!
  • I have done Insanity and T25 twice and I have done Insanity Max 30 once and love them all. Though, based on your time restraints, Insanity Max 30 and T25 would be your best best. Both are thirty minutes or under. The first month of Insanity has workouts that are only about thirty minutes, but during the second month, some…
  • Does your apartment not have a fitness center? Mine does, so that's what I use on days that it's too cold or it's rainy outside. Otherwise, I walk outside, either around the complex a few time or at the local nature park that is only a ten minute drive away from me. Maybe you could look into that? I absolutely LOVE walking…
  • I love T25. I agree with Eileen... I like Insanity better, but you can't beat the shorter workout time! :) My advice is the same... go at your own pace. I sometimes turn away from the television which helps me focus on doing my best as opposed to paying attention to what the people on the screen are doing I have done…
  • I average about 13000-15000 steps a day... I am teacher and on my feet all day long. It's harder to get my steps during the summer and on the weekends during the school year, so I hike at the local nature park to get my steps in. I live in Georgia and it can get really hot here too; though not as bad as Texas. I just walk…
  • I have done Insanity twice and I find Insanity Max harder.
  • I am ending my second week of Insanity Max 30... it's pretty intense. I thought Shaun T couldn't make a harder workout than Insanity, but I was wrong! Feel free to add me! :)
  • I get the double chocolatey chip frappuccino (it has no coffee in it) with skim milk and no whip... it comes out to be about 200 calories in tall size and 270 in grande size. You can also ask for any of their frappuccinos to be served without the coffee in them. I have never done that myself, but I have seen other people…
  • I started out with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and have pretty much done all of her DVDs, she is AMAZING and I saw some great results from working out with her. However, over the summer, I completed Insanity and I am now doing T25 and I have seen even more amazing results from using both of those programs. They are kind…
  • I am sixth grade reading/social studies teacher!
  • Thanks for the input! :)
  • I am a second year teacher. Last year, I taught sixth grade reading... this year I will be teaching both sixth grade reading and sixth grade social studies. I am actually looking forward to this year because I absolutely love social studies (I have a BA in History and minored in Geography). I have been out of school for…
  • You should definitely take him to the vet. That is not normal. My parents had a similar problem with their cat; except he would eat and then throw up everything. Turned out he had some kind of cancer and a tumor that was growing on his stomach which made him throw up everything and thus, he lost weight really fast.
