  • You might try regular Diet Pepsi vs. caffeine-free before you give up entirely. The caffeine-free has always left an aftertaste for me, even when they were using aspartame & I've noticed that it expires much more quickly. I've found that aspartame really aggravates my gastritis, so right now, sucralose is my only choice. I…

  • I've noticed when posting that some of my comments are missing the last couple of sentences. In all of these cases, there are other comments much longer than mine. Is this something with phone? Anyone else have this problem?
  • Week 5: Bonus point #1- my biggest struggle has been emotional eating....using food when I'm depressed, bored, sad, celebration, or as a reward. When I do this, I'm usually on "auto-pilot" & don't even notice that I've been snacking until 3 or 4 cookies, chips etc are gone. Working on being more mindful about this.

  • I was happy about Rick & Michonne but I hope they don't take away Michonne ' s ability to be a bad-*kitten*. ☺ I like Jesus & think he's going to be a great addition.
  • BP1: aha moment...I feel like I've had many of these but rarely follow thru, but getting a Fitbit did give me the realization of how little activity I was getting on the weekends. Working on that. BP2: I love salad but seem to only collect the ingredients then grab something easier & less healthy instead! Now that I know…
  • Completed 2 bonus challenges-- 2 pts Met my goals 4 days -- 4 pts 6 pts total. Loved the Sexercise video challenge!
  • Snacking has always been my downfall. In tracking calories on MFP, I found I was "depriving" myself at meals, then snacking 400-500 calories a day! So now I allow myself to have more filling meals. This has helped hold off the desire to snack & helps me devote more of calories to protein & vegetables.
  • I assumed the Michonne challenge would be "interesting" based on this week's episode
  • So glad to hear this. I have limited internet, so unable to download multiple videos. Was wondering if I could use similar videos I own, when posted videos are large downloads. ☺
  • Completed challenges 2 & 3 for 2 bonus points. Met my goals 4 days for 4 points. Got taken down by stomach bug so hoping next week will be better. 6 points total for the week.
  • I did find the listing under "Groups" to come here so that part of my question has been answered. ☺
  • This is my first-ever challenge of any kind. I joined the group & i do appear on the Winners & Walkers list, so that is all good. My question is: Should I be seeing this in the "My challenges" section of the menu? So far, I've only been able to visit the challenge by searching "The Walking Dead". Help...what am I missing? ☺
  • Hi, I'm Carla & I choose Michonne. I will: 1. Log all of my food every day 2. Accomplish 10,000 steps on my Fitbit at least three days each week. Thanks for the chance to be accountable & for making it fun!
  • So sorry you are going through this. I'm definitely an emotional eater myself. I'm no expert, but if you have been eating healthily for over a year, you probably haven't done as much damage as you think, if you go back to your healthy eating habits as soon as possible. I hope you go see your doctor. There may be other…
  • A good starter for me was the DVD "Yoga for the Rest of Us" from Peggy Cappy. I believe you can only find it online from E-Bay, Amazon, etc. I have not tried any of her others (& one of them is simply a documentary telling how beneficial yoga is), so I can only recommend this one. When she gets to the Sun Salutation, she…
  • Well said & perfect advice! I've heard people say that we distract ourselves from our feelings because we think we can't bear to go through it. I've done that MANY times, but when I do make the decision to just feel & then come out the other side, I feel SO much stronger.

  • Hope your situation has improved (personally & weight-wise). I found your post in a search, because I've wondered about weight counseling myself. Would be interested to know if you tried it & if you had any success.
  • You look great! I'm only 5'2, so I'm especially glad to see progress pics from people near my height. Keep up the great work!
  • Thanks for the suggestions! Have always fallen back on the same unhealthy foods, but now I see their are lots of healthier choices.
  • Just had our 25th wedding anniversary a few months ago, & I love him as much now as the day I married him (maybe even more)! I loved reading all the posts on this thread, but also want to say how impressed I am with the guys who posted a reply. The fact that you are willing to brag about being happily married just shows…
  • Thanks for the words of advice & encouragement. Good to know that others have worked through this. Geneen Roth's book "Women, Food & God" really helped me with this in the beginning (I'm much better than I was), so probably need to read it again. I think it has just come up for me again because I had been doing so well.
  • I learned a lot from this post, so thanks for asking the question!
  • That's great! My sis-in-law told me I should do "Same dress, different day". So, let's see that dress again 20 lbs from now!!!
