It's supposed to be 1.5x your weight in kg, not pounds!! Take your weight in pounds, divide by 2.2 (300/2.2 = 136) 136 x 1.5 = 204g/protein per day They say though that the second number you multiply by (1.5) can be anywhere from .9 to 1.8 depending on your scale of activity - ie., if you lift weights, if you're trying to…

Took me longer than I thought but finally got around to taking a picture & uploading... ! Here's what the inside of an Egyptian fridge looks like:

Middle Eastern food! Hands-down. I already do pretty much eat only that as it is.... ;)

AGREED! You are both so wonderful! I am super happy I found the EM2WL at the beginning of my journey - I feel well-equipped with all the healthy information I need and I wasn't distracted by any "calorie-slashing" or crash dieting this time around. I'm not very far toward my goal yet, since I just started recently, but…

oooh... love this thread, great idea. going to post a pic right when i get home from work today. :)

Download a timer for your desktop and every twenty minutes, make sure you get up. When making phone calls, stand up at your desk, or stand on one leg to balance your weight. Hand deliver files and folders. Go to another colleague's desk rather than making an in-office call. They're all little things, but it is very…

Thanks Lucia! I was having a really hard time trying to figure out what to do to eat back those calories, hahah... this makes things a bit easier. :)

Hi everyone! Just a quick question - the more that I've been reading around the Metabolism Reset stuff, the more confused I am about whether or not I should be eating back my workout calories while I'm on my Reset. I'm currently eating at my TDEE and have been eating back my calories after I workout, mostly trying to make…

I just noticed I am usually over my sodium limit too, even though it's very rare that I add salt to anything and don't eat a lot of processed foods. I think my salt comes from stuff like cheese. :( This is going to be tricky.

Check out the group Eat More to Weight Loss here on MFP. There are a few beginner's sticky forums that explain what the method is and why it's so important. After doing a few days of research, watching all the videos, and calculating my own figures - I truly believe that eating at 1200 calories per day is the absolute…

I just started, too! I'm on Level 1, Day 4 today. The first two days I was so sore, and even today I still have to "ease" myself on to the toilet! hahahaha :) Anyone who is also doing the shred, feel free to add me. xx

Peach puree can be made easily and frozen and used all year long! You can use it in fruit cocktails, with yogurt, in baking (pancake batter, cupcakes, cakes, etc). The puree, and peaches themselves, can be used in tons of great types of drinks - alcoholic or not, you can make peach mojitos, or just take some of the peach…

Thank you Lucia (& also Kiki!) you both are wonderful, and it is very touching how you take so much time to respond to all the individual posts and comments. I will keep updating about my process. Sending you both my love.

Hi all, So I have spent the last almost 3 hours reading through all the EMTWL information, I've watched the videos, and finally calculated my BMR and TDEE. Here's my info: 5'7" probably 165-ish lbs (don't have a scale!) BMR: 1559 TDEE: 2143 Cut 15%: 1822. I selected "light" activity because at the moment all I'm doing is…

salt-n-vinegar roasted chickpeas?! that sounds delicious! I'm going to have to make some... I already try hard enough to ignore the salt-n-vinegar chips as it is....

There are a lot of afghani recipes that use pumpkin in absolutely delicious ways. Kaddo Burani is delicious - here's a good recipe for it: http://www.food.com/recipe/kaddo-bourani-afghani-baked-pumpkin-with-yogurt-sauce-106186 Then of course you can always puree it and use it as a ravioli filler, or do a risotto with it.…

Even though you already mentioned honey and mustard - have you combined them with a tiny bit of olive oil, white vinegar & lemon preserve? Absolutely delicious! Also, my favorite go-to salad dressing is a Palestinian recipe. You take a few cloves of garlic and a bit of sea salt in a small bowl or mortar & pestle, crush it…

I love Greek Yogurt! I use it in everything & even cook with it! -add some honey, tastes delicious (just a teaspoon of honey whenever you eat yogurt helps so much, especially if you eat it with cereal or granola) -top it with fruit (sometimes frozen berries are great too) -sprinkle a little dark chocolate & chopped nuts…

Holy crap! You look amazing! Great job!

I read an article recently that said that people who "fast" from dinner time until morning (ie., while they sleep) lose more weight than people who snack throughout the day/night - all while they're eating the same amount of calories. I think the article was saying that giving our bodies a chance to rest from the food…

I had a great dinner... stir fried shrimp with red bell peppers, a little garlic & feta cheese, and stuffed zucchini (stuffed with a mix of zucchini, feta cheese, egg whites, tomato & pesto).

Today I finished Day 2, Level 1. Jillian really kicks your butt! Was totally covered in sweat today, and my legs have felt sore & stiff for the last two days. I REALLY hope that gets better... lol. I've done Jillian's Ripped in 30 - only level 1 before, so I knew how intense it was, but planning to stick it out this time…
