This is incredibly helpful. Thanks for the link!

I feel the same way. I guess I'm just being impatient. Maybe the best solution is for me to weight myself once a month instead of every day. I need to see substantial progress for my own motivation...

I'm 5 '5. I'm just perplexed because the calorie king logging app has me between 1900-2200 calories for weight loss. I didn't realize that 2 pounds per month is normal if you only have ten pounds to lose. I'll try to keep that in mind. It's frustrating when you're super-disciplined but not seeing immediate results. I will…

Hiya, I'm Sarah. I've been trying to lose the same ten pounds for the past 3 years. I'm easily discouraged, so when the weight doesn't come off right away, I tend to say, you know, "Screw it", and then I'm right back where I started. I'm hoping this group will help me stick with my goals.

These are all very helpful. Thank you so much.

Is it too late for me to join? I'm wanting to lose exactly 13 pounds, so this is perfect for me.

Thanks so much for your thoughts, everyone. I don't expect to lose quickly, and I am willing to be patient; there's just so much different information out there that it can get confusing. It's very helpful to hear about everyone's experiences. I may just start weighing myself every two weeks (or so) to keep my spirits up…

These are all very helpful suggestions. Thank you. I've considered going to bed earlier and adding more protein. I often feel hungry an hour or two after dinner, and I may not be getting enough protein to make me feel full. Tea is a great idea, too. I went way over my calories AGAIN after dinner, but tomorrow's a new day.…

I'm 37 & I could use the positivity and the motivation. I have 10-15 to lose which makes it easy to sometimes talk myself out of really working to get the weight off!

I was making great progress, and then had a stressful week (or two) and I've gained back half of what I lost, maybe more. Today's a new day, right? Many of you out there go up and down before you went down for good? Any advice, empathy, pep talks, "I been there" would be appreciated.

Make a Dr.'s appointment. Could be something serious.

I haven't. Is that something you've done?

Such controversy! Who knew people were so passionate about caloric intake?! The drama! To clarify: I really was eating 1200 calories and I do weigh my food. I changed my settings to lose .5 pounds a week per the suggestion of a post I saw about people who have ten pounds or less to lose (which is me). Since then, I've been…

Thank you. The workout is titled "Just Sweat" so it is like intense aerobics, but it's just really strange how large the gap is between what the wii says and what MFP say. I'll look into a HRM. Can you get those anywhere? Like Target?
-
I'd love to join. I'm struggling and need some accountability.

Good for you. You should be so proud. I have some of the same issues and it's inspiring to see you making the leap.

Great idea. CW: 143 GW: 133 I'd like to lose 7 lbs by Valentine's day so I can celebrate the day at 137!

I'm in. I keep making excuses. Let's do this! CW: 143.3 GW: 130

Hmmm. I just did and it had me at 1579 which is basically what MFP has me at (when I eat back my exercise calories). It's a mystery. Thanks for your help anyways!
