I am 5'6 and currently weigh 130. I wear a 4 or 6 in most pants, 28 inch waist. I have a high body fat percentage so I am really focusing on lifting weights to build muscle and burn fat. The actual number on the scale doesn't matter to me that much. There are so many women here on MFP that are my height and weigh more than…

I use the elliptical at the gym but I use it in addition to running and lifting weights. I really like the elliptical because it is easier on my knees than running. The only problem I have with the elliptical is it is very easy for me to get lazy on it if I am not paying attention! I have to concentrate on keeping up my…

You can easily have a Beagle in an apartment. Last time I checked Beagles typically weigh between 18-35 lbs which doesn't exceed any apartment weight limit that I have ever seen. You make sure they are well trained and take them on walks often so that they get enough exercise. It's not that hard.

I have a Pomeranian/American Eskimo mix named Belle. She's 15 lbs and orange and white with long silky hair. It's her birthday today and she is 8 years old!

Good for you!! What an amazing transformation. You have so much to be proud of!!

I don't have any pictures but I am 5'5 1/2 and started at 143lbs in January. I am now 127.5 lbs. I have had a really slow weight loss. It took me a while to figure out the right amount of calories to eat. I started with the MFP recommended of 1200 and it was actually hindering my weight loss. I think it was too few…

You CAN go to school, you just have to be willing to take on a enormous debt burden once you graduate. I got a bachelor's degree from a traditional university. All of it was paid for by student loans that I now have to pay back. Does it suck having to pay back tens of thousand of dollars? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes.

I'm in the same boat. I am technically at a very healthy weight for my height but I have a lot of extra flab! I really need to focus on toning up. I have started focusing less on cardio and more on lifting heavy weights. It seems to be helping, but very slowly. I have lost a lot of flab off of my back but of course none of…

I have the same exact problem. I have tried buying the carbonated fruit flavored water beverages to replace soda but I really don't like those (not sure how much better they are than diet soda anyways). I also try not to eat sweets unless I bake them myself. No more store bought cookies or any of that stuff. If I want…

Yum! Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Make it crustless. The filling is the best part. The crust is just wasted calories (and A LOT of them)!

I love bangs. I've had them for about 10 years and I'm pretty sure I will ALWAYS have them! I like full bangs though. I think if you are going to go for bangs, go all out, don't do the half *kitten* wispy/side bangs. You look great both ways, but I say go for the bangs!

I LOVE pumpkin! I am trying out a new recipe for Pumpkin Pie Bars right now! I basically used a pumpkin pie recipe but made a gingersnap cookie crust and put it in a square pan. I can't wait to try them!

I do both. 3 weight training days with very light cardio (1/2 mile jog and some walking) . Then 1-2 days of higher intensity cardio with no lifting.

Very good point!

I think she looks great. Yes, she is "softer" and not very muscular, but I really like the way she looks! I can't believe anyone would think she is "chubby"! Jealous much?!

The avocado pasta recipe from ohsheglows.com is really good. I LOVE avocados! I dice one up and put it in tortillas with black beans, corn, salsa, cheese, whatever!

Awesome!

I've been vegetarian for about 8 years for ethical reasons. I started in high school. A major bonus is it really helps me maintain/lose weight. I did a fitness evaluation for work last year and the nurse said my bad cholesterol levels were the lowest she had seen in a long time and I was one of the healthiest people she…

musicmint- your profile picture cracks me up! I'm not a fan of Dairy Queen. I'm more of a frozen yogurt person. It's nice that they have a "mini" size now, but 400 calories is not worth it to me. I'd rather have 400 calories worth of cheesecake, pizza, etc.

I like tomato sandwiches. Two pieces of toasted bread, about a tbsp of Light Mayo with Olive Oil, 1/4 cup slightly melted parmesan or cheddar cheese, and big tomato slices. Then sprinkle the tomatoes with a tiny bit of salt and pepper. Yum!

jsl_mfp- Thank you very much! Your response was very helpful!

Yawell: I'm 5'6". Started at 143lbs and am now down to 133lbs. I have been at 133 for over a month and haven't lost anything. I have to estimate the calories burned because I don't have a hrm. Around 200-300 calories burned three times per week. MizSaz: Yes I tried 1200 for the first 2 months. It's too low for me. I am not…

There is not at all accurate for me. It's telling me I'm a 32DDD. That's absurd. I am a perfect 34C. There's no way a 32 band would even fasten on me, and I'd be swimming in a D cup, let alone a DDD. This is nuts!

I love to eat it with cantaloupe and grapes.

In response to all of the "girls who wear makeup at the gym" comments. I always wear makeup to the gym simply because I put my makeup on in the morning for work. I go to the gym after I get home from work and eat dinner. Then I come home from the gym and take of my makeup and take my shower. What bothers me is the…
