Finally a post I am qualified to answer! I am 38-40 DDD, and the only sports bra I found that actually works, which I found a few years ago, is from Moving Comfort. I had to order from Amazon. The one I bought is style number 350025. I ordered my usual bra size and it worked out fine. In addition to the fact it was the…

Make no mistake yasef13, the way I see it these are insults masquerading as compliments. I believe a LOT of people who lose a lot of weight get those. Would be so much nicer if they said something like, "You are even more beautiful now than then!" or "Your face was always lovely but all the more so now that you are…

I'm with you. Although I am utterly convinced from the above comments that eating the same foods every day would result in easier weight loss, I don't think I could sustain that for too long. As some of the above comments suggest, maybe the best solution for me is a happy medium between repetitive eating and a little…

The simplicity of this somehow really got through to me. THANK YOU! Sometimes I make things a lot harder than they need to be!
-
Thank you all, this is very helpful!

Don't shortchanged yourself; you have already accomplished SO MUCH!!!

Oops... Toute de suite, I meant. :)

This sounds amazing and simple - I am going to try this route de suite -- thanks!!

I just wanted to say have a good ramadan :) I am not Muslim but have friends who are and they say protein in the early morning meal is key! Good luck.

Great post - shows what "just" 10 pounds can do! Impressive. Be proud of yourself!!

Some fluctuation is normal but 5-7 pounds is too much fluctuation to happen in one day, even considering water retention, etc. So here are my comments/suggestions - from someone who has spent far too much time figuring out the vicissitudes of scales! 1) do you have a good scale? I just changed mine to one that seems to be…

wow. WOW. THis is one of the most amazing before/afters I have ever seen. This represents a huge change - keep on doing whatever you are doing and congratulations!!! Super inspiring!

Great job and keep it up! There is such a big difference even in just your face. Yay!!

I think your carb issues may actually be a simple carb issue -- simple carbs that shoot up your blood sugar levels quickly like potato chips and bread. Try replacing with complex carbs. it may not induce the carb death spiral!

Applebee's has a portion of the menu that has lower calorie counts - I tried several of those dishes and liked them. At Mexican restaurants you can always order fajitas -- lots of veggies and very little fat.

I do not really like exercising. However after I do it I always feel great. Here's how I went from couch potato (and I mean seriously NO exercise) to exercising 2.5 hrs a week: I forced myself to go to a gym. I bought a 3-month trial membership to a gym on Groupon (great source for cheap/short-term gym deals!). I told…

I am trying to avoid the "on the wagon" and "off the wagon" and "back on track" and "got off track" mentality. Dieting has some ups and downs but if you think all is lost because you have "gone off the wagon" then I tend to think it just won't work out in the end. Because it will be too easy to see a day or two of slipups…

I have pity parties all the time for myself! I just don't let them outweigh the times when I am motivated, for the most part. You don't have to be perfect. If I may -- personally I find it easier if I just have smaller portions of the same healthy food as my husband. The "separate dinner" thing is tiring -- and as you…

One suggestion to "fine-tuning" this would be to change the "rule" to: "If the scale is above my predetermined maximum of my weight range for three days in a row, THEN I go back to tracking / calorie counting until I reach the minimum of my weight range." That way you would eliminate any little spikes or bloating issues.…

I did WW too and also came here to stop paying so much - and I haven't regretted it one bit. I feel MFP is actually easier to use and offers more than WW online. The community seems more engaged and savvy too in my opinion. I think the quality of the forums on MFP is really great. There are a lot of savvy independent…

I am so pleased to see this has struck a chord with so many of you! Glad I posted my curiosity. Seems like anything from no change to two sizes smaller is possible. I am hoping that losing weight will end up giving me a desirable "side effect" of getting me out of the wide sizes at least! Best to all of you and GOOD LUCK!

Thank you all for the feedback!! I am happy to know there is hope for me to start shopping for 8 mediums someday!! Here's to shoe shopping after weight loss, for better or worse!

Why not try Groupons or Livingsocial for finding gyms/workouts you want to try? When I started in January I struggled with the exercise component of weight loss; Not having done much exercise in the past, I didn't know which gym I would like, and most give you a couple days free at best before they ask you to make a BIG…

1) Weigh yourself exactly the same time every day. Preferably upon waking up in the morning. 2) Spend at least a couple weeks being ruthless about tracking every bite you eat/every sip you drink. use a food scale. you want to make absolutely sure you are accurate about your caloric intake for a couple weeks as a "test" to…

This is an eye-opening thread and I think you got some great advice, which I learned from as well. Let me first say that I don't think you are crazy. But I do think you have to face some facts. I've been struggling with this too, so I understand. I was a smug vegetarian/part-time vegan who was 40+ pounds overweight! (now…
