I live in Oakland, really don't have the time to get out and about these days due to my work sched and son's baseball sched (hoping to change that this Summer though!), but I'm all for connecting with other locals. :)

Keto is awesome and I've lost more body fat while being in Ketosis in the last two months than I have eating in a deficit for a year, while doing StrongLifts and HIIT jumprope. Everyone is different and sure, some things aren't for everyone. Nosebag above is right. I suggest you get your bodyfat tested, either a…

Even though I know it's not necessarily about the number on the scale, I only have about 20 lbs left to get to my first goal of losing 50 lbs and could use some more positive and engaging friends! :)

Research Ketosis Diet, low carb, high fat. A lot of people have a great amount of success on losing weight this way as well. Good luck on your journey!

I'm 5'0 at 154, goal is 130 and I've been more successful at 1400-1500 (in ketosis) than ever going above or below those amounts, no matter the amount of exercise I have done.

Just sent you both requests, could use the motivation too!

Phenomenal loss #1! PLEASE don't let her comments discourage you! Like any other journey we embark on, not everyone will travel alongside and help us. Just remember why you started, why you continue everyday and keep that as your focus! Wish you the best in your CONTINUED journey. :)

I'm in the home stretch of my initial 2 year fitness journey and DEFINITELY could use some encouragement/accountability friends. Feel free to add me also!

Congrats for getting to this point! I just sent a request. Looking for more accountability and motivational friends as well!

Muscle weighs more than fat, but is more compact. The more lifting you do, you replace fat with muscle. Have you tried tracking measurements vs weighing yourself? That's a better way to see progress. It's obvious from these pics you are smaller. Nice work!

10! Definitely. :)

Thank you for the reply DavPul. For about a week after I posted this, I started eating more, not really caring what I put in my mouth. I lost 2 lbs at the end of that week. Pretty much showed me I wasn't eating enough to offset my burn. Have felt a lot better since. Thank you so much for your input!

WalkingAlong - I also was just on the IIFYM website calculating my TDEE and came up with the same # you did. I double checked my Bodymedia settings and they are correct. According to the IIFYM website, I'm burning the same as a person who works out every day AND has a physical job. I have a desk one and work out max 3…

I've had two of them, one in 1994 and another in 2005. Have lost weight and have seen changed in my mid section, but yes, I have the loose skin also. I hate it!! My goal is to drop another 30 lbs of fat, gain some muscle and then have a tummy tuck to get rid of what's left. Most likely will meet this goal within a year…

I love mine as well, my ONLY complaint is that I didn't buy the Link so it would sync to my phone automatically. Laptop at home died, haven't been able to get another one yet, so I use the one at work. Means I don't get to see my info over the weekend which sucks. :/

I'm LOVING the changes I'm seeing all over!! I've been building muscle and while I know it's still covered in fat layers (haha), I can SEE what my body is going to look like a year from now. And I can't wait! That's what keeps me pushing every day to eat right, workout smarter and not harder and to keep researching and…

Hopefully an extra 20 years to live and enjoy my family. That's all I really want!

No time. No energy. No gym. Too many things to do around the house. High construction season at work. Too many other volunteer responsibilities. I'm done with those. Now the line that keeps replaying in my head is "You can have results or excuses, not both." Easy answer to that one! :)
