  • thank you :)
  • ok Diary is open! sorry guys!!! lol
  • the 432 was from my Garmin vivosmart hr. fairly accurate I hope! lol
  • holy cow how am I going to cram that much in my body in a few hours ??
  • I find if i log what i am going to eat before i eat then i am less likely to add stuff, particularly if its dinner and i have to complete my diary before i eat lol. I have trouble sometimes on weekends and do great all week too. It is really hard
  • while it's been probably a year or two since I had my full blood panel done I've never really been deficient in anything. A little magnesium and B12 but that's about it thankfully. Maybe time to get it done again to check though
  • awesome ladies, thank you! never thought of flavoured tea but what a great idea! I do get carb-cravings for sure but also sugary stuff (chocolate , cupcakes, etc) I'm going to try the cheese idea too since I LOVE cheese.
  • you are all so awesome. I'm glad I'm not alone in the need for sugar lol. I am working hard to get control of my diet and am doing ok so far. thank you for all the advice and insight :)
  • I'm working hard at keeping up to 8 big glasses a day. I do well with that
  • heh, I have eaten sugar straight from a bag when stressed or really craving. I guess I'm trying to kill the cravings for sugar and junky sweets and the only way I'm finding I can do that is by taking most of it out of my diet
  • ok, nil is exaggerating lol but lower is better because I was at the point where I couldn't function without eating something covered in sugar. like really addicted, with my personality if I don't keep sugar as low as I can then I will eat it to extreme
  • ah ok, all makes sense then. I consider myself relatively fit as I am a competitive endurance horse rider but I'm overweight so am trying to lose for so many reasons. Cool, I'll keep that in mind
  • Yes! it definitely is, it's just so surprising to see it jump up so fast after taking so long the first time around lol
  • Thank you Aaron and everyone :) I'll keep on keeping on and keep the happy attitude I've had up until today :) I am not unhappy with my current , baby steps, results :)
  • AFter doing some reading, the correct way to say the statement would be "Muscle weighs more, by volume, then fat" NOT "muscle weighs more then fat" which is very misleading. I understand now how it weighs more, by volume, but when reading the statement as is previously it did not make sense to my poor abused brain. :D
  • Actually, I believe that a pound weighs the same as a pound *lol* So there fore I've made no statement that a pound of muscles weighs more then a pound of fat, because a pound is a pound is a pound. What I was trying to say was that I've been taught that muscle takes up less space in the body then lumpy, fluffy fat. I find…
  • With all due respect, this is a big question between the whole weight-watching world, do you have proof you can show me that a pound of muscle weighs more then a pound of fat? If I can read/see/hear it I will believe it *lol* I appreciate , truly, all the advice. I will ahve to start logging my intakes and outtakes better…
  • No, a pound is a pound. A ton of bricks does not weigh more then a ton of feathers. a ton of bricks just takes up a lot less space :) Kinda like muscles take up less space then fats :)
  • Gained two pounds, not one *lol* I do yes, more energy, a bit more pep in the step so to speak. I do feel stronger during the work-outs as well and my husband has told me my butt is like "Steel" now *lol*
  • McCindy, I've not heard of that diet but after a quick google and some brief reading sounds like something I'm already following a bit *lol* I've cut much of the "bad" side and have added many of the "good" side of the lists. We don't eat beef or pork in our house anyhow so that's not a problem. Beef/pork always leave me…
  • McCindy, The gluten free is because of dietary issues. I do suffer from IBS and my doc is fairly certain I have an ulcer. Since going gluten free I've noticed I'm less bloated (awesome!) but also less IBS symptoms and most awesome is the less stomach issues. Less burning, less pain, less reflux. I'm going to have to guess…
  • ok, well I've lost 6lbs in about 8 days. I've had to drastically change my diet due to severe stomach issues (think ulcer, have tests this week to determine) and have become gluten free as well as low sodium, lower sugar and zero junk. I've also begun exercising about 30-45 mins a day or so to try and bring my weight down…
  • Free range, no antibiotics, ground-pecking chickens (for eggs) and the same for the actual chickens. we raise our own once a year and slaughter. The meat keeps us for about a year. We don't use antibiotic feed but instead cayenne pepper in the water when they are day olds til about two weeks. Tasty eggs and chickens!!
  • Going to give it a shot. That's a lotta calories for three days but heck, I trust her!! She hasn't been wrong for me yet!
  • My own silly addition to this rather silly debate is this : Has anyone ever considered that being a Veggie (as we call it in my house) is cruel to plants? You're effectively killing the plant for your consumption! And for all those Vegans out there..do you wear Leather? Do you own a leather purse? How about Leather shoes?…
  • My husband had horrible bursitis in his left hip. I iced it daily for about a week and he's never looked back. I used an ice cube and ice pack to apply direct ice to it and massaged it in. He said it didn't feel good but even after one day it made a difference for him. I did a bunch of research online before we decided to…
  • It sometimes happens to me if I'm not eating enough that day. I have a specific spot in my head/ on my head where I get the pain and I know that I need to eat something. Shortly after I feel much better. I notice that if I lean down to pick something up the pain pulses so bad it feels like my head is going to pop off. But…
  • Ok, I have had to do that too *lol* It's worse when it's around 2 in the morning, then I sort of stumble and fall  :blushing:
  • You're not alone! I have G.A.D. and take 75mg of Effexor daily. I'm going to be talking to my doctor about cutting back or even stopping the meds soon though, as I find the exercise and diet are helping me a great deal. Also, I have a hunch that the drug might be holding me back a little in the weight loss dept *lol*, as…
  • Ok, so by the end of the day, after I exercise, my "Net" should be around 1200? That's going to mean eating back those darn pesky little critters called Calories. Anything is worth a shot, right?
