Hi Everyone, I am on Day 1 of my first round of the 21 Day Fix. I am 42 and need to lose at least 50 lbs. I am a sugar addict so that will be the toughest part for me, sugar withdrawal is brutal for me. Once I get past that I am sure things will get easier. My hubby is doing it with me as well so I have some support…

avoid sugar, it causes inflammation along with the sugar are the refined carbs, white foods, pasta, bread, rice, cakes, etc. I have RA and have cut back on the sugar and refined carbs and feel better. My doctor said to strength train to build up muscles to support joints

There are a lot of addicts in my big extended family. What I have found is that you have to do what is best for you and your daughter. You can't "fix" him, and he will only accept help when he is truly ready to change for himself. Hold your head up high, you tried your best and that is all you can do. Best of luck to you…

I just saw something yesterday that said sugar is more addictive than cocaine and triggers the same areas of the brain. So it makes sense that you would crave sugar. I too am a sugar addict. Personally I had to cut it out completely. Once I had it again, it was full blown cravings again. I found it easier to quit smoking…

My husband and I did one cycle of the 17 day diet in 2012. I lost 16lbs in 17 days and he lost 26lbs in 17 days. I personally found cutting sugar out the hardest for me since I am a sugar addict. But after a week we both felt great! More energy, better sleep, flatter bellies. We are starting again this month. The book is…

I have suffered from depression and anxiety as well. I try to avoid taking any meds since I am on enough meds for rheumatoid arthritis. My counsellor has helped me deal with the depression. And I've slowly started adding exercise which definitely improves my mood. We did cycle one of the 17 day diet and my mood and energy…

my plan is: - to stay under calorie goal - to allow myself small cheats - to weigh myself everyday - get exercise at least 3 days a week even if it's a short walk the ulitmate goal is to still be able to enjoy some of my favourite foods, get moderate exercise and still lose weight... so really a lifestyle change

I cheated a lot on the weekend. Up a pound! So I'll watch what I eat all week and exercise more :)

I've had RA since I was 14, pretty much in remission now. Still have chronic pain from the joint damage. The fatigue is tough, have you had your iron levels checked as well? I've had a couple bouts where my iron was very low and made me even more tired. If I feel I need a nap, I take one. My doctors say to listen to my…
