FibreOne Brownie - sawdust, seriously.

Seriously awesome! way to get help and put in the work. Goes to show your life can change at any time.

I like liberte and oikos brands. I don't buy plain though, I like the fruit floundered or vanilla flavoured ones.

If you're a beginner, I highly recommend "the Diet Fix: why diets fail and how to make yours work". It dispels a lot of dieting myths and provides guidelines for figuring out what will really work for you. I read it last summer and I've lost over 30 pounds this year.

You really do look amazing! Way to go! Definitely inspiring.

Great job! I hit my one year goal on June 1 and felt similar. Good job on the results and the dedication.

Congrats! You look amazing!

Oregano is good on scrambled eggs, gives them a savoury flavour.

I just started weight training again (I did some with a trainer for about 1 year 8 years ago). I'm about 3 weeks in and loving it. It's really helping with lower back pain from sitting at my desk all day. Can't wait to see where a year of weight training will get me.

Oops - the strenth training part is 40 minutes - the treadmill warm up and cool down are extra - so workout is 60 minutes in total 3-4 times a week.

Thanks. I didn't realize that people added weight so quickly. Maybe since I'm on week 4 I'll add some weight.
-
I'd avoid it.

You look amazing! I just started weight training so I LOVE that you shared the weight lifting progress. Great way to measure progress!

I've been at it for 13.5 months. Only missed one day of logging (camping).

Excellent advice - thanks. I have also been asking the question, "why would I throw it all away now?" too, but in more the helpless way instead of the take charge way, which is so pathetic now I'm looking at it in black and white. That being said, I stuck to my goals yesterday, tracked, and made a plan for today, and am in…

Wow! thanks so much everyone. I wasn't expecting such consistent advice. I've been fearful of getting off track and regaining all my weight. I need to think about how I want to approach this, as I don't want to get into a "free for all" mentality, but a break where I'm not "rebelling" against my own plans sounds like it…

In the early months of this exercise I was eating just under 2000 calories on average - that being said day to day actually calories swing about 200 - 400 calories on average and about 3-4 days per month I might have a really high calorie day (special occasion, PMS food cravings, bad or lack of planning etc.). My best…

Congrats on your own success! Way to go! I'll have to check out the book, I think another good read might help me stay motivated into year two.
-
Thanks - I'm 5'4" - so I get the short thing too. I used to say, it's not my weight that's the problem, it's my height! LOL! About the Weight Watchers - it's not even that it's a bad program. I usually was quite good at losing on their programs (until I wasn't), but it's just so expensive, the calories are "hidden" in the…

Thanks Sarah! I really appreciate the online support and cheerleading you've provided. I'm glad you "found" me too

I highly recommend it. I didn't adopt all his strategies, but committed to a few. I am planning on re-reading the book and doing his "10-day reset" to get my second year of this off on the right foot. His suggestions around calorie/protein minimums and eating on a schedule have also been pretty instrumental to my progress…

Track it, face it, accept it, make a meal plan for the next day to actively move forward, maybe even prep my meals for the next day, and then just move on.

1 - give it more time. 2) use a food scale for all meats, cheese, potato, starchy veggies, nuts, fruit. Ideally weigh everything to get an accurate count for serving size/calories. At 1700, if you are making a 200-300 worth of calorie errors in your serving sizes that would totally erase your calorie deficit. For example…

Try meal planning. Include a mix of new healthy foods to try along with a few things you normally eat to fit into the overall day. Prelog the plan to see if it fits your goal and see it that helps a bit.

I used to really enjoy WW. I like the meetings and weekly devoted time to focus on health topics and strategies for success. I liked the sharing of successes and sharing of struggles with an in person group. I like the positive reinforcement of stickers and awards and the group celebrating milestones. The in-person…

3 meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner and 3 snacks - morning, afternoon, evening. On weekends, I'll usually skip the morning snack due to not having as many hours to go between breakfast and lunch, then I can add those calories to a bigger than usual lunch, dinner, or evening out.

Nothing is off limits, but I did stop eating cereal for breakfast and replaced it with meals that has more protein and less sugar.

You mentioned cramming a phone between ear and shoulder while doing computer work, this can cause repetive strain injuries. You may want to get an ergonomic assessment and get a headset to wear at your desk. Working the way you are describing will only further complicate your pain and may lead to further injuries.

I found that eating regularly throughout the day, every 2.5-3.5 hours, and ensuring I have at least 20 grams of protein at meals and 10 grams of protein at snacks has really reduced my binging. It doesn't happen overnight, but my binges are getting further and further apart and are getting less extreme when they do happen.…
