  • There isn't anything for me to "copout" about. My point is if it were legal it would be abused even more.
  • Let's not give Mary Jane so much credit. There are a lot of side affects and harm. For patients who a terminal ok something to help them relieve some of their pain help them get through. What about the lives it destroys? Fact of the matter is it is an addictive substance, it does lead to harder drugs ( I don't care what…
  • This happens to me as well I noticed it happening if I wake up and workout before breakfast. Probably would help to eat something small prior to working out. I think if it falls after rest you really shouldn't worry about it. I have been doing fine and I have even lost 65 lbs.
  • I think it is important to remember these things take time. Don't be too hard on yourself. I know we all want to get off meds but the ultimate goal is good health you may need meds to do that you may not. Try to focus on what your doing and don't stress so hard on the #s they will improve with time. My FBS is on average…
  • I agree with Sharon I wouldn't worry about it unless it's posing a problem. Keep an eye on your cholestrol when you get your usual blood work.
  • I think the reality is that for some not saying you but some dropping medication may never happen. There comes a point where the pancreas no longer functions the way it should on it's own and needs assistance for the long term. I'm very curious to hear how you progress it would give me hope to one day stop as well. my…
  • Great job it's what we all aim for :) Congrats
  • Wow that's a lot to handle all in one visit. Hang in there. I don't think any of us will ever eat like normal people ever again if that makes you feel better. I witnessed a co worker go through a lean pocket a pint of cherry tomatoes half a pint of blueberrys and god knows what else and all I could think was man that…
  • Don't be surprised if your depression improves as you get better control of your sugar T2 will totally throw your hormones for a loop and cause or worsen depression, anxiety and other mental illness's but the more you gain control the better you will feel in the long run. Good luck
  • I don't know what that is but you could look into seated execise routines I know they are out there. Good luck
  • I'm not on insulin but I would love to know if it's possible too I really need to tone up.
  • You should ask her for a referral to do the class for diabetes nutrition. You may also want to see a diabetic nutriontionist/dietian one on one. These things are covered under most insurances. Once you know the basics you can understand better all the information available online.
  • You can also try Amy's they are vegetarian and organic not to mention very yummy. My favorite is the cheese tomali verde or the tortillini in pesto.
  • I have tried them and they are ok if you make it spicy to mask the odd flavor but as a pasta lover I prefer to use Dream Field. It is a regular pasta altered to not cause a blood sugar spike you can look it up for a real explaination on how it works. I haev tested before and after eating it and it holds true. I do not get…
  • Triscut Thin Crisps with HUmmus or even alone they are so good.Yum!
  • It's a grain, high in protien usually found near the rice or pasta in the grocery store almost everywhere has it now a days. Taste kinda like a tiny pasta a little dense though.
  • After reading the article it is not convincing. There are too many variables there if they are eating food labeled low fat they are usually higher in calories and sometimes sugar. The high fat diet sounds like it was probably very focused on good fats which are restricted to specific foods. The study is not very old and…

  • I am not a vegitarian but I know many. I tried it a while it was not for me. Usually they eat a lot of fruits, vegtables, nuts, cheese, fish and eggs except if they are vegan. Tufu products that mimic chicken or beef in texture. I would encourage you to try some they aren't back. I'm a big fan of veggie burgers and the…
  • Make sure you are eating enough at meals or add a snack between meals something small. Hope that helps. Eventually they will get less as your appetite decreases due to smaller portions.
  • Hi nh: I also work two jobs and I am a single mother of one girl. I do my workout on my lunch break. 30 mins of exercise and 30mins to eat and log everything. It is very hard but it can be done. In the begining I was also worling out in the morning before waking my daughter up but I got way too tired. Sometimes I do an…
  • My thoughts on this subject is that you can't make your self feel alienated you can have meals you once loved just don't eat the whole thing enjoy a bit of it along with the salad, veg and or fruit. I could never give up all carbs, bread, pasta or even chocolate. My A1C is 5.9 as of just last week. My readings are with in…
  • My total is usually between 160-200 a day depending on my activity level.I don't think you should restrict them too much. In the begining I was cutting out as much as possible which is probably why I am going bald now so I have found a balance I think everyone is different. You have to see what you can manage depending on…

  • Wow I think that's awesome. I agree the best way is to start little by little and build up your workout. I would also recommend Leslie Sansom videos it's indoor walking you can start at a 15min gentle walk and work your way up to more advanced work outs.
  • Good thing you were there.
  • Sounds awesome thanks for sharing.
  • When my sugar was High I was constantly getting the UTI among other things AZO is a suppliment that works really well. I find it at Walmart.
  • if you go to American Diabetes Association web site they list the ranges if you want to be a little stricter you can go by AACE: American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. I went from a 9 to a 5.6 but I take oral meds twice a day. My numbers are all under what they should be for the most part. I try to take it one…
