I couldn't care less, having several, very visible tattoos myself. A trainer out of shape though...that's another story

Just something else, as a fellow small woman, I am 5'1, to OP, increase your TDEE, I for sure don't know my exact number every single day but I just did a bit of adjusting, I started with 1,800 calories and the scale moved slow and the measurements dropped sloooow, I lowered it to 1,600, added 2 days of lifting, and now…

Well if you wanna load on stuff like Gardein and Tofurky (love those now and then) yes. If you eat mostly lentils, rice, seeds and nuts with a protein shake and fruits,no. Been vegan for 5 years, down in Mexico. For people saying it's boring..I dunno, I do eat similar stuff all the time..but also love to try out new…

Wow you guys and girls are on fire!! I have read almost all the thread, not all, cos good grief, it's so long, but... I don't understand why can't we all count calories and also eat nutritious food? calories, macros, micros, we can have it all. I don't see the issue with that
-
It sounds interesting, this eating intuitively thing, but for me it's not time yet, I am aware now tho, of when I am actually hungry or it's just boredom, frustration etc, but I don't think I'm quite there yet. Maybe once I hit maintenance I would give it a try, but I would most likely at least use cups to measure, I don't…

Well...most nutritionists I've been to are either fat or eat "crap" ( what I consider a waste of calories and macros that is) so... I don't go to those no more, I only use MFP lol. One of my trainers is huge, but he's on a continuous bulk so..the other one is fit and works out hard and has great advice.

Hey, well you don't have to give up bread... unless it has like..meat? I am confused by that statement xD

I'm sorry I did not read EVERY reply cos it's a lot, I have been re-comp since January, in that time I've lost 6 lbs, it may feel slow to some people but the deficit is super easy for me to maintain, since it's only 300 - calories from maintenance, I work out from Monday to Friday, sometimes on Saturday, weight lifting,…
-
I know people have replied before, I haven't read it all properly, but just today I logged another lb less using the MFP app, I personally track macros and try to aim for more nutrient dense food cos it makes me more satisfied and I like it better but in the end, the weight I've lost is due to me eating less calories than…
-
@slossia I know everyone said it before, but I feel like saying it again, I've been losing 1lb steadily every week and a half or so, I eat less than I need for maintenance (not so little less, just a 300 calories deficit) and work out 5-6 days of the week and walk more, so the eating less/walking more does work. I think…
-
I don't like eating so little so my deficit is only 300 calories, I gotta make sure to work out more and walk more to make the CO part of CI bigger , it's been working, I have been losing steadily, 1 lb every week and a bit. For me it's way easier to eat just a wee less and consciously move way more :P
-
Well I personally like to eat a lot of stuff like alfalfa sprouts, dark green leaves, legumes and of course whole grain , I also make sure to eat my healthy fats, keep me satisfied and fueled to go to the gym. It may sound silly but also drink enough water! Of course my deficit is quite moderated, about -300 calories. I…

Heyo, didn't read all the replies cos I'm working lol I do weigh myself cos I write it down and I can learn about the average fluctuation on weight during a month. On the first day I feel a bit less energetic and will definitely not train legs, but other than that, I feel pretty much the same, just a bit greasier on the…
-
I don't like IF at all , I prefer to distribute my meals on the day, but if it works for someone, cool.
-
Don't sweat it, weigh is never the same, I weigh myself daily and the average difference I take note of on the Sunday. ;)
-
Well, it's up to you to choose your food. I do eat some processed food, with less and "better" ingredients, I use "__" cos to some it may be unimportant , to some it's not. But I would not ban them forever, just choose the best ones, since they can be tasty hehe.

Gym surely helps in looking better, if that's something you are interested in. I hit it Mon-Friday. Heavy weights, less heavy weights, battle rope, skipping rope, planks, all of that too

Some people do go "low carb" vegan, although it's tricky as you can guess! And low carb for us is not like 30 grams or anything lol, I deem that impossible. I have my carb intake on around 180 grams a day, sometimes I eat less, sometimes a bit more, but what I always aim to is to hit my protein goal and fat goal, of course…

Hello, fellow vegan here, well, I am working with 45% cars, 30% fat and 25% protein. I've tried many different combinations but this one seems to work the best, I go to gym and lift hard 3 days a week, the other 2 days I don't lift as hard but more. So far have lost hmm 6 lbs and some inches, but I am working on losing…
-
I answer "To hit my macros and adhere to my calorie budget" :P
-
I do some light cardio after my breakfast and hit the gym for reals in the evening/night. Works best for me
-
I count it all, ok not all, those 3 leaves of kale yesterday? Nope, but the green peppers today with rice, yes
-
I always do my weak side first, I make the same number of reps, I could do more with the stronger side but I don't.
-
It depends, I was able to lift 121 lbs but now I'm down to 88 cos I'm doing more reps at the end of Monday .
-
If you can, ask a professional trainer, I recently got a new routine with mine and man it's really hard but he adjusts to all levels and experience, he also is training my mom who clearly does different things. :)
-
On the first day I dare not to go for leg day, rest is fine.

That sounds way too awesome, I'm gonna have to get the app
