Thanks! I feel I get a lot of motivation from seeing that others have exercised and reached their daily goals.

I am on day 2 and I think it is a great concept. I get bored with doing the same exercise DVDs, so with daily burn I get a tailored workout with the ability to choose any of the other workouts they have. I live in a small mountain town and the only gym within a 45 minute drive is our country club and it is $75 a month. You…

Thanks for the advise! I read about stress fractures and that fact that the pain comes on gradually seems to explain my symptoms better than a sprain. Either way, maybe choosing to run out of sight on an old dirt road in the mountains was a poor first choice.

I am giving in and seeing the doctor at 3pm. They will most likely call it a sprain and send me in for xrays anyway. Oh well, I just don't understand what it can be, but now my ankle feels like it is going to explode with pain and pressure. I tolerate pain extremely well so I am really confused.
-
I live in a very rural area so I was trying to avoid the doctor, but I realize that is probably a bad idea. I just started seeing muscle tone and now I feel I am back to the drawing board. :( I don't remember rolling the ankle and the pain came on slowly...weird!!

Also 6' with a 160 goal weight, as long as it is all muscle. 140 would be a dream, but as long as I'm fit I don't give a damn. :)

Thanks to everyone for the great advice! I had no idea there were trail shoes, but that is exactly what I need living up here in the mountains. Slowing it down makes a lot of sense and when I tried that this morning I quickly realized I was overdoing it! Now off to get some decent shoes, and maybe I can get rid of the…

Sounds like you are doing the right things...keep to the calorie limit set by the site. By the way, MFP tends to estimate calorie burns a little high, so unless you are using a heart rate monitor to acurately calculate your burn, I wouldn't eat back all of your exercise calories that MFP tells you to. I think the initial 6…

msmandyjo, I would have to say, listen to your body...if you are losing weight and not feeling hunger, then you are one of the lucky ones! Most, however, find hunger hard to avoid...especially in the beginning. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods

Unfortunately, when your body switches to burning fat reserves for energy the result is hunger. Your body tells you it's hungry so you will eat and not use those precious reserves. The problem is that if you are overweight...the reserves are not so precious!! It is rough in the beginning, but hunger is inevitable :grumble:…

It's not a popular opinion, but if I plateau I fast through it. However, I always allow myself Sunday to eat whatever I want...never had a problem with a starvation mode, but that is just me and might not work for you. I wouldn't work out those days though.
