  • Banana And peanut butter? Or just a banana or spoonful of peanut butter? I don't really workout early apart from weekends and don't normally eat beforehand but I've tried what I've suggested before and it is just enough :)
  • I am up half a pound so trying to get that off by new years eve. I've not really eaten as much as I could of over Christmas though tbh so I'm happy it's paid off and I've not gained alot. New year's eve might be a different story as I will be drinking
  • Just don't want it to fade faster. Going to exercise and tie my hair up as normal as the dye is only half way down my head and just dry shampoo and dry any wet bits until I wash it properly tomorrow :)
  • I use protein powder to up my protein intake. You should really increase your calorie goal though like others have recommended because you probably aren't eating enough at all.
  • Thank you everyone who replied. However the party has now been cancelled so looks like I'll just be going out for Halloween and sticking to vodka and diet cokes hah! All that worrying for nothing seen as I'll be able to track more accurately with such a bland drink
  • I am planning on tracking all calories party regardless. I track everyday :) I use a fit bit charge 2 so I rely on that to tell me how much I'm burning during exercise. It's just frustrating because as soon as I lose any weight a social event comes up and I gain from it, it's like I can't permanently lose weight it always…
  • I have done it before and now doing it again :) I only do it twice a week to fit around all my other JM DVDs but I am enjoying it and definetly noticed how much fitter I am the second time round, level one is easy for me and that's doing the advanced moves!
  • I'm your height (don't feel comfortable saying my weight) but I normally buy size 6 clothes, a size 8 if there's no size 6. I do think the shops need considering though because in some shops I'd never even fit in a size 6 so just keep that in mind too :)
  • Anything Jillian Michaels for me!
  • Oh no I am logging food on mfp and exercise then it transfers the exercise over to fit bit?? Is that not right?
  • I try not to eat back my walking calories, or even my exercise calories but I like knowing that they are there if I need a little bit more substance. For example if I want a protein shake after exercise :) I do try not to make a habit of it, I'm still struggling at the mo with this but I'll get there in the end!
  • Just for the record mfp is on Lightly Active as I do exercise DVDs 5-6 times a week. I feel this is at least lightly active so don't want to change my level to sedentary. Think I will keep it off for this week and see how I get on.
  • I log my exercise into mfp because I can change the name of the workout? I do DVDs so like to make sure it has the correct dvd name under my log. Unless you can do this with fitbit??
  • I've got it turned off too and then just let my fit bit do the steps and then manually enter in my calorie burn from exercise as an extra :) don't think I want to turn it on as it seems really confusing too!
  • Going to try it this way for a few weeks and see where I get :) will update for sure! Thanks everyone!
  • Right I understand a bit more now hah! I think I am just going to log my workout DVDs through mfp as I have been doing (they do go onto fit bit originally but once edited on mfp they adjust on fit bit hope that makes sense) and just leave the calorie adjustment to do its own thing. Aslong as I don't go over my calorie…
  • Surely though if at the end of the day I log my steps as aerobic it will be incorrect as some of them steps will be included in my seperate home workout DVDs?
  • I'm sorry I'm super thick I still don't get it! I manually enter workout DVDs into my fitness Pal as that's not classed as running and other stuff I could record into fit bit :) unless there's a way I can enter this into fitbit I don't know about?
  • I'm down as lightly active as I do regular exercise 5-6 days a week :)
  • Thanks everyone! I think I am going start having 2 little protein balls in the morning and a litre of water then try and have breakfast about 9:30am and not eat anything after 8:00pm. I'll trial this as of next week and hopefully post in a month's time with an update! :) Xx
  • I've always eaten breakfast around 9ish for a while now so tbh no idea what it might be, I may start making some protein balls to snack on once I get up or something if my calorie limit allows!
  • So you include this ontop of your exercise? I've just been counting my exercise calories and not my walking ones because I don't want to. I just wondered if other fit bit users recommended I changed this.
  • Yeah I have the same problem :/ i normally tighten it up so it doesn't move during exercise but it's such a hard thing to do :( going to try above my wrist bone further up today when I get in :)
  • It's just been my birthday so pretty much from Wed-Sunday I ate way more than normal and allowed myself chocolate and booze (only allowed on special occasions) and have felt so bad about this but last night I prepped my breakfast, Overnight Quinoa, and just thought 'whats done is done, today is a new day' I already feel…
  • Great! Exactly what I was looking for! :)
  • I always use full fat Greek Yoghurt, obv higher in cals but fills you up longer and less sugar than low fat versions. I tend to mix mine with porridge oats then add toppings (such as banana, chia seeds, honey, blueberries, almonds etc) then mix it all together and refrigerate. All ready to go to work the next day for…
  • I've been looking for the original recipe that I used for the overnight quinoa and couldn't find it :( anyway I've looked online and found this which sounds pretty good so mght be of use to you! I'll be on this next week or sure! https://www.homemadenutrition.com/2015/08/31/overnight-almond-chia-breakfast-quinoa/?mobile=1
  • I've tried cashew milk and it is lovely! Not tried the butter but I've bought almond and coconut butter and that was £3.50ish for a small jar...
  • Thank you! I've had skimmed milk before but trying vegan meals here and there :)
  • Every Saturday morning :)
