@AnnPT77 thank you great informative post, I'm in the same position as yourself regarding BC and medication.

43 years old 5'4" 01/03 146lb 01/05 145.2 Very soon to be posting again but I record my weekly weight on a Wed. Going in the right direction and I already feel better back in my usual routine, hopefully not too long before I am back to my pre-Christmas weight in the 142’s, the ultimate goal is in the 130’s (I’ll take…

43 years old 5'4" I'm 146 this-morning, pre Christmas I was bouncing between 142.5 and 143.5 so I'll I'd like to get back to the 142's ASAP - hoping a lot of the gain is temporary from extra salt and carbs. Ideally I'd like to hit 140 by Feb. Had a good break over the holidays and ate loads so certainly not going into…

I over indulged the past few days and planned to. I know if I stood on the scales now I would be up about 7lbs but the 27th is my cut off date. Personally for me if I didn't allow myself this period of overindulgence I would feel deprived going into January. I'll weigh myself tomorrow and know I'll drop the majority within…

I'm normally up 2 or 3lbs the day after a big cycle. Usually takes 2 days to go back down.

Herbs, spices and splash of milk are not counted - unless I want them recorded in a recipe. One thing I do is create all my common breakfasts and lunches on the "my meals" this way I have all my usual go-to meals that can be added quickly with 1 click and the portions sizes don't change with these meals. I also created a…

Same as others have said I pre plan and pre log everything that I can picking the healthier option. Also if I have more than 1 invite for a meal out in a week I will usually go to one of the events late, just joining for a coffee after the meal. If that's not possible I'll make sure to get an extra exercise session in to…

Was just about to say the same, even 650 would seem high.

I'm very similar stats to you and had a very similar experience to yourself seeing no difference in the first few months. I was getting very disheartened. Was logging from Sept to Dec last year but on a different app but going back over my records my diet was identical to what I'm eating now. The main difference for me was…

Working from home as a result of covid allowed me a work life balance I had never experienced before. I used to commute 15 hours a week and I've directly transferred these hours to exercise. Also, as I'm in the house all day I'm not eating out and have a much healthier diet. I think this is the first time in 30 years that…

I had a little more than you to loose at 34lbs in total. I've worked off a 500kcal deficit and only rarely ate exercise calories. I lost 1lb a week consistently since january. It might have felt very slow at times but in reality I've gone from a size 16UK to size 10UK and from just tipping into obease BMI to healthy since…

All of the above applied to me, plus realising this isn't short term it's how I should have been eating all along. Making it sustainable by enjoying meals out and having dessert. If I have a weekend with a lot of extra calories I make sure to get extra exercise in to account for it.

I'll send you a friend request too, similar to yourself looking for accountability buddies.

The saying 'same storm, different boat' comes to mind. While the pandemic and working from home has given me the time to devote to exercise and planning meals I know I'm one of the lucky ones. For some their world has been turned upside down, from greif to illness. Even home schooling has been a huge challenge that has…

One thought that is keeping me motivated at the moment during lockdown is: I was lucky to not get covid and not suffer from long covid. There are so many people where exercise is not an option and they don't know if and when it will be. When I'm having a tough day I remind myself I'm really really lucky to be in control of…

We're still in strict lockdown where I live so walking has been my sanity the past few months. I keep an eye on my heart rate making sure it's at about 70% for most of the walk. Clocked 77km in the last week. I'm finding it brilliant for maintaining a loss every week while other forms of exercise are shut.

I have 22lbs to lose and would love to join this group. I'm trying to get to 146 and lowest I have managed before was 156.

As someone who started running only 4 months ago and is now upto 12km my main advise would be to go to a reputable running store and get fitted with runners that suit you, make sure to go to a store that perform's gait analysis. The store I went to has a running track / treadmill and they video your movements. I was about…

a great you tube video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxqB9T3T004 Every time I see it I think right I'm gonna work my *kitten* off to get back to the mountains, not that I would ever aspire to do what Ueli can do : -) Laura

I actually find being in the mountains easier than on a wall, I think its the views that help get you through it. Plus you can very easily clock up 6 hours exersize without noticing. I've also found there is nothing better than booking a trip to keep your training focused – there is no way you will skip a training session…

Why this forum may be the push I need! I used to do a good bit of Alpine climbing and trying to get back into it, I will have to loose about another stone before I could consider heading back to the alps or doing any other technical climbs. I've have planned to get back to hiking this weekend, to start to increase my…

I used to go to Bikram Yoga about 3/4 times a week and loved it. Defiantly helped loosing weight and overall toning, although I think this was in part because it took up so much of my evening there was little opportunity to snack in the evenings :-) I however found it really difficult to stay hydrated, I was drinking 3lt…
