Hi, been a while since I was here, but had a bit of success. I've not had a flare up since I stopped eating or drinking anything with aspartame in it!!!! Thought it was a fluke so ate a weight watchers yoghurt and the next day, low and behold, a minor flare up began. I thought it was exercise aggravating it, but then…

I just point out that as a society we are so used to seeing overweight people and that has become the norm, and when someone reaches a "healthy" weight they are all too often perceived as underweight. Everything is relative, people are bound to make comparisons.

15 today. Never going to hit my target as I've got 12 x 12 hour night shifts do do in a row for the rest of the month at work. Oh well, there's always next month!
-
I've been slacking due to long hours at work, but still going! Another 10 yesterday and hopefully more to come today!

I've only just got a mountain bike, and live in the midlands too, but Northnats area. Anywhere a bit closer than Cannock would be handy to know!
Coder - I know I find mountain biking harder and slower but I count all of the miles the same. Pamela - looks 10 is a new high? Awesome!
Yay! It was a new high, the first 10 miler! Only started at the weekend, and apart from the odd one or two short rides on holiday it's the first time I've properly…

I downloaded a free pedometer app on my phone that has a GPS link. Ok, so I ignore the steps (obviously) but it plots my route on google maps and hives me distance and average speed which is all I'm really interested at this stage!

Another 10 miles this morning, not bad for a noobie!

Hi, I do a 4 on 4 off rota, I do 4 twelve hour night shifts 7-7 then 4 off (when i try to get back into a day mode). It's hard, it f@cks up your body clock, I eat more when I'm tired, and it plays havoc with logging food! Constantly swapping between night shift and being up in the day is something I'm not sure I'll ever be…

Glycemic Index It's basically a guide to how quick foods release sugar into your system. A lower GI food will release slowly therefore keeping you fuller longer and not creating an "insulin spike". When these happen, you have a crash again a couple of hours later and feel hungry again. Example of high GI food are white…

I would, but not not in London, Northampton, so less than an hour by train. Have the odd day out down there, so keep me posted if you sort this out and I'll try to come along!

I have the same problem too, so that's why I don't bother anymore. I find it easier to control my eating thought the rest of the day if I don't start early. Contrary to popular belief, the world won't stop turning if you don't eat breakfast, and it certainly hasn't stopped me from losing weight!
-
It's a series that was run but either BBC or ITV where they take a family who say they CAN'T lose weight, must be medical etc etc and then secretly film them to find out what they have been eating. Normally each person keeps a diary before hand where they think they're eating about 1800 cals a day, but in reality they're…

I'm in, just got a bike yesterday and not ridden for a long time, so think I'll set my goal at 150 miles for this month. My legs need time to recover! But have already started, 1st sept - 7miles 2nd Sept - 6 miles

Take most advice on the forums with a pinch of salt. Everyone has their own opinions as to what works and what doesn't. Try to follow it all and you'll be going round in circles. Find what works for you and stick to it!

5.27pm and about 100 (milk in coffee so far). But then again, I have just got up and work 12 hour nights, so plenty of time to go!

Almost 50lbs down and dropped 2-3 dress sizes

Sounds like what I've been doing since jan and its working for me too!

I like them both, but if you're anything like me be wary of the ruching across the front in the first one. It has the same effect as horizontal stripes and can make my belly seem bigger than it is. But they are both really nice :-)

Both

It's a handy one for seeing what you might look like at a goal weight. Realise everyone is different, but least they have photos showing different shapes of women, so it gives you an idea at least!

Peanut butter Cottage cheese Peppers

My appetite lessens in the hot weather, and it's the only time I don't want chocolate either, can't be doing with the melted gooey mess lol
-
This isn't supposed to be an exact science, it's handy to give you an idea of what you MIGHT look like in the future. It's a rough guide.

Glad to help!

Have a look at www.mybodygallery.com You can choose different heights, weights and body shape to see what real women look like in the varying scenarios
