All I see on here are people drinking almond milk! Is there a reason no one drinks skim milk on here? That's what I drink! I feel like you guys know something I don't...

I think many people drink it because it is lower in calories. Personally, when I want milk, I drink milk. And 2% at that

I'm allergic to almonds/peanuts so I stick with good ole skim milk. I love 2 percent and whole though...

We have almond and whole milk in our house. I think there is good reason to stay away from low fat dairy so I just don't drink as much as I used to and I add other types of milk in.

I love milk so I drink it! I've tried the almond milk and liked it so sometimes I add it to cereal but you can't beat an icy cold glass of milk in my opinion.

I just drink milk straight from the utter. It's fresher and no hormones added. It's like eating clean!

If I'm going to have a glass of milk, it's 1%. If I find almond milk on sale, I will buy it for my morning cereal because it's lower in calories, and I have skim in my iced coffee.

But, how can you call almond milk 'milk'? at all? It tastes like almond 'water' ..... not plain water just because the almond taste..it also ruin coffee flavor lol.

I tried it, but will never ever ever buy almond 'milk' again (my wife liked it tough, at least she drank it i would have tossed it away :))

So I'll stick around with 1% and 2%...

I buy organic vitamin D milk for my son; so, if I drink cow's milks, I drink the full fat/flavor kind. I do buy unsweetened soy milk for myself from time to time, and I've just recently purchased almond milk to see if I like it. I used to drink 2% before my son was born. I've never liked skim milk...to me, it's too bland and weird looking...that bluish tint throws me off!

When I first started this journey, I bought low fat or low calorie alternatives. Then, I realized there was no way I could eat my calories for the day. I was consistently extremely under...sometimes 1000 under! So, I've learned to eat smaller portions of the full fat kind instead of trying to eat more food of the lesser fat kind.

I am loving Alpro almond milk right now! Trying to slowly cut down the animal products in my diet so that's partly why I drink it. Also because I find it delicious!! :-)

almond milk has less carbs than skim milk and no cholestrerol, lactose, saturated fat and sodium. also no worries about the steriods and hormones that the cows get. i'm insulin resistant and my boyfriend is lactose intolerant so i buy the unsweetend vanilla almond milk. i thinks it's delicious.

I drink whole milk and use it on my cereal. I log it like any other calorie/food. I can stay on target this and lose by not denying myself stuff that tastes good and I like. I just log everything...and exercise.

I did my research and figured that some people deem skimmed milk more unhealthy for you than full-fat milk because it's been stripped of most of its nutrients (which i'm not actually too worried about), but next to that, it's good for my calorie deficit (: thank you everyone for your input! I guess it's just based on what people have a taste for (:

Alot of ppl drink almond because there's no harmfull additives like in milk. Milk has traces or hormones in it that the cows pass through to their milk that we drink. Also it has been said that the dangerous antibiotics are passed through the milk as well. I personally drink 2% milk and prefer that over the taste of almond milk. Only time I use almond milk is in smoothies. Perhaps they are plant based diets only and since it is a product of an animal, they don't drink it.

You can buy hormone/antibiotic-free milk in most grocery stores.

dairy and I are not friends anymore. as I have gotten older the dairy products have caused issues with my stomach- painful ones no cheese no yougurt etc... not unless I want to spend the day bent over with cramps!

2% milk here too. Tasty yet still some fats i want. Also, always organic. Honestly not because of what benefits organic might bring, but because it tastes much better in my opinion.

I drink both. I think regular milk tastes a little weird when it is warm and in my oatmeal though so I use almond milk for that.

When I want milk, I drink raw full fat deliciousness. Thing is, I'd rather drink grass fed cream, lol.

I don't discriminate against any milks. In fact, right now you can find Soymilk, Ricemilk, Coconut Milk, AND 2% in my refrigerator. Sometimes I even "forget" to order nonfat at Starbucks and enjoy whole milk in my iced beverage. Oh God, it's so good.

eww drinking milk by itself is soooo nasty! But I do prefer to use 1 or 2% milk NEVER whole milk that is just gross!
and I can easily drink vanilla or chocolate soy milk no problem :)

I drink 2% when I can, and 3% when I have no choice (I live someplace that's not really into lowfat milk). Removing fat can remove nutrients, but most dairy companies add those back in, which is why lowfat milk is fortified. I don't drink skim, except sometimes in coffee, because it doesn't taste good to me, not to mention the whole bluish cast thing.
