G I Jane Bootcamp
Ok, so I decided I needed a major kick up the back side and have signed myself up for a 4 night boot camp in Kent (uk). The full week sounded harsh lol, and I haven't got the time to take off work, so thought 4 nights / 4.5 days was better than nothing! Has anyone else had any experience of bootcamps? I know on this one…

6 Weeks to OMG!
Has anyone else read this book? I've just wasted about 4 hours of my life doing just that. I should have stopped after chapter 3 (I think it was that one) where the whole chapter was devoted to the benefits of taking a 15 minute cold bath every morning. But I didn't, morbid curiosity got the better of me. It's a best…

Have a look at www.mybodygallery.com Photos of real women. You can change the search options to include different height, weight and body shape to give you an idea of what…

Fitbit when driving
Ok, I'm really keen to get a fitbit, having read so many great reviews, but there's one thing that keeps coming up and that's steps recorded when driving. As I drive for anywhere between 7 & 10 hours a day this could be a major problem. Anyone had problems with this or not? Or have I just kept seeing the same person…

Red meat can kill!!!!
Well that's the latest health scare in the news today anyway. Can i just start banging my head against a wall now, in readiness for the next one. Every week, something is really bad for you, and the next it's good. I can't keep up!! I'll carry on down the "everything in moderation" route I think :-)

I hate peanut butter!
Hate it with a vengeance. Even the smell of it turns my stomach. So does anyone have any good ideas for high protein snacks that do not include it. And that don't include cottage cheese either, as I hate that too! Thanks:happy:

Kellogg's study
Anyone else hear on the news this morning about the study Kellogg's have commissioned stating sugar is ok. Apparently, according to them, it doesn't lead to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, behavioural problems in kids, nothing. It's fine to eat. Just interested to see the details of the results. After all, if it says a…

Psychology of weight loss
Been on MFP since January, and have lost almost 24lbs. The problem I have is, I know the scales are going down, my measurements are smaller, and my clothes definitely fit better, but I can't get it into my head I've lost almost 2 stone. I look at myself and think, no, you can't have lost that amount. Scales must be wrong…

Skiing injury
When I was skiing last month I twisted my medial knee ligament (the one that runs down the inside edge of your knee). Most of the time now it's not too bad, I can put weight on it, and walk with no problems. I still can't always straighten my leg fully though, and any sort of twisting motion aggravates it. Any ideas for…

My NSV!!!
Ok, so I know it's the little things that count. At work today, walking round the warehouse and nearly collided with a forklift coming the other way down an aisle between pallets. I squeezed up against the side so he could get past, and guess what, he said thanks, it's a good job you're skinny! Woo hoo, was so happy (just…

100 cal "Naughties"
Hi, new to all this and not finding it too hard, yet! But I do find things easier if every couple of days I have a treat (or a naughty as I like to call them!). At the moment my weak spot is options hot chocolate with a shot of brandy in it - and use VSOP brandy and the lot comes in at 105 calories. Just wondering if…
