sweat is your bodys` natural defence against over heating, your body assumes you are overheating so you sweat. they say not to wipe sweat off as the wind chill cools you down, however in a gym envirmonment this isnt possible! i sweat like a pig, i drip, my clothes get wet... i do get concious of it but i dont care that…

just watch a lot of youtube videos and picked out the items that sounded plausable... i focused on:- overstride arm position 90 degrees at elbow arm movement - not crossing your chest only for/aft.. (you may look like a dumb *kitten* moving your arms like a sprinter at 5mph but when you hit 8 you feel the benefit!!) fists…

I been a wannabe for around two years, whenever i start i go too fast, too quickly with poor form and bad shoes... that`s until this attempt. i reaserched correct runing form {yes there is a proper efficent way of running} and started out doing half a mile at around 6.5mph, i have decent cardio ability but have never had…

its all about weight. a heavy person would have to expend more energy propelling themselves that a lighter person. If your father had set it up for his weight that the figure it quotes would be questionable. to be fair all i use my HRM for is average heart rate over a period, max heart rate and keeping in a specific…

yeah, the boredom factor! i say if you are doing it to give your lads a head start why not do some major swatting up if you are injured - do a home course in a science subject. then you can train bodies and minds? and beat the boredom?!
-
i can relate to that, i get injured and try to push too hard to get back to where i was. However the last time around i researched correct form for everything from lifting to running, and started off building week on week. touch wood its all going well. there is a guy i know of 93 who goes to a gym i frequent.... you want…

i find a head cold, stuffed nose clears with a workout. dont worry about contaminating as you are contagious before symptoms exist! if i am coughing, have muscle pains etc i just rest... to re-itterate if its above the neck work out... if its below the neck rest it out!

when you used to max out heart rate @ 170watts on an eliptical and it is now 450watts. when you used to eat takeaway for treats but now you cant remember when you had your last. finally when ANYTHING processed is junk especially when it says "weightwatchers, good for you, low fat..."

to be fair none of the calorific burn data on any HRM is accurate there are far too many variables. i have noticed a higher burn on digifit, i thought it was down to the nett v`s gross > so i take off 150cal per hour as normal activity burn. you can use a hrm as a bench mark to see if you have worked harder in a shorter…
