i say as long as you're accounting for the calories, don't worry about it too much. i couldn't survive without my doctored up coffee in the morning!

i started P90X in relatively bad shape, although i had been doing some light exercising (walking etc) and although it was challenging, i have loved it. i love the incredible results i have goten so far and you get so much with the program. it comes with a nutrition guide and the videos are actually fun.

i don't have a HRM, but i know i get the best workout and my heart rate is up the most with Plyo and Kenpo. i did Legs and Back today though and my heart rate was up A LOT during that one cause i really brought it in the pull ups and squat sequences. i really wish i had a heart rate monitor!

i always eat back at least half of my exercise calories. i try not to eat all of them because i don't have a heart rate monitor, so i am trusting MFP to be relatively close to what i'm burning. but i have been losing pretty steadily since the end of August, so i figure i'm doing the right thing.

That's wonderful! Congrats!

that's awesome! i just got into the 160s myself for the first time in a looooong time and it is a good feeling! keep up the great work!

THANK YOU! i was so furious that she even made it this far. I am really counting on America to vote for Ada. Elizabeth does not deserve it!

skull candy are the only ear buds i can wear comfortably. i have never had a problem with them falling out while running.

I definitely agree with this! I "bring it" hard for every workout though. So it's highly likely that I burn at least 600 calories. I can't wait to get a HRM to find out for sure though.

Thanks! I also love the Zone Perfect Double Dark Chocolate bars. They are super chocolatey and definitely satisfy my cravings. They are higher in calories (190 to be exact) than the WW dessert, but they are definitely better than a regular chocolate bar! And they pack tons of protein!

I've asked this question before and it seems like the best way is to get a Heart Rate Monitor and just manually enter your calories burned. I don't have a HRM yet, though, so I just try to pick an exercise that seems to be similar (calisthenics, circuit training, high impact aerobics) and use that. If you look in the…

Do you mean a digital scale for weighing yourself or for weighing food? I have a small Taylor food scale that I love. I think I paid $30 for it? I don't like my bathroom scale for weighing myself, so I'm not going to recommend that one :)

you look AMAZING!!! great job!

I always go over my protein in MFP because I'm in the Fat Shredder Phase of P90X. I'm pretty sure it's not a problem at all. Protein helps you build muscle, so like the previous poster mentioned, it will only help you if you are working out.

I also just log it in as walking, brisk pace, when i do those workouts.
-
yeah, i really need to invest in one of those. but for tonight, i guess i'll just call it high impact aerobics?
-
That's a great idea! Thanks!

i definitely count my major cleaning sprees as exercise. i'm about to go vacuum and mop my entire main floor, clean 2 bathrooms and vacuum the basement. you better believe i'll be counting that cause i know i'll break a sweat!

i love them for days when it is raining or too late to walk outside. i have a DVD with 5 different work outs, including the 2 mile and 3 mile workout. one of the best fitness purchases i've ever made.
