My misfit app is getting my meal data from mfp, but mfp isn't getting my exercise data from misfit. It just stopped working 2 days ago. Very frustrating!

Check with your local universities if there is one with a medical school. My dad did a program through the local medical school and it was doctor supervised and included meal planning and exercise and he lost about 50 pounds. It was the kind of thing where med students learn and participants get free treatment. This was in…

All the time. A few times a day, even. I like to see how much it changes from one part of the day to another so I know what's normal for me. It can vary by as much as 6 pounds from morning to evening. I find it fascinating.

You're not wrong about the possibility of a lawsuit, but I really doubt a corporate gym would bother to go to court over one member's canceled credit card. It is a risk, but if there is no other way, I would totally do it.
-
Cancel whatever card or account this gym gets its money from and set up a new one. Don't give the bad gym the new account number. Sometimes it's the only way to get out of a contract like that.
-
Heresy, eh? I tried it because my friend gave me some for free. It didn't do anything for me. YMMV.
-
What are you even talking about?
-
I didn't know I was supposed to trust your opinion as the final word of the all knowing almighty. Geez..
-
Well excuse the **** out of me. I just wondered if anyone had other ideas.
-
Yeah, if you're losing, however slowly, eating 1500 a day, then something is off with the testing. Can you have it done again?
-
Bump for the Saturday crowd.

I want that to be true, but I don't seem to lose at that level. You're probably correct, generally speaking. All of the calculators I consult tell me that I should be able to eat that much and still lose. I'm 35 years old, 5'6", and currently weigh 178. I have been down as low as about 150, but that was seven years ago.…

Yes, I do eat back some of my exercise calories when working out.
-
Yeah, you just have to make yourself walk over there and pick up what you need or ask if you can use the bench. They probably are just doing their own thing and don't mean to be intimidating to you. Most people will share the equipment if you ask nicely. If you asked and they said no, then that would be grounds to speak to…

OMG. This ^^^

Set our wedding date for March 15th, so I need to get back on the wagon if I'm going to lose what I need to lose by then. We just finished moving across the country for my fiance's new job, and are finally (almost) done with unpacking and setting up our place and getting into a new routine. I have skipped running while all…

The way to go, in my opinion, is to do whatever you can to make yourself go just before the race. Coffee, bran muffins, whatever. If you can get it out before you start running, there is not much left in there to make an exit at an inopportune moment during your race.

I keep getting Target ads that indicate they think I'm pregnant. I'm not. Just FYI.

Ditto to those who said to take the kids chewable vitamins. Flintstones with iron or the store brand equivalent. My doctor said it was fine.
-
Yay!! Glad you figured it out.

I think there is a way to reset your goals so that MFP knows you're starting over from a different place. I'm not 100% sure how to do it, but I bet if you go to your "goals" setting and put your starting weight as whatever it is now (or whatever it was when you started over this time), the weight loss will then show up on…
-
This happened to me too. Are you back down below your old starting point yet? That is when my ticker started to move again.
-
Down 0.4 pounds so far. Every little bit helps!
-
Hey all. I am excited about this challenge! I really need something to push me forward. Anyone who needs new friends, please feel free to add me. One of my goals is to be more disciplined about logging everything every day no matter what. I've gotten my eating pretty much under control lately, but I need to get consistent…

Southland. I try to pretend it's not over. I try to pretend what I saw did not actually happen. GAH!!!!
-
Try not to let one mistake derail your progress. We all mess up sometimes. This is not a total failure. Just try not to do it again.
-
It can fluctuate by as much as 8 pounds from morning to night, depending on workouts, how much water I've been drinking, whether I had salty Thai food with a ton of coconut milk, etc. :-)

I don't think you should give up on your goal because of one crazy person. She sounds obnoxious, but if you let her b.s. stop you from doing what you want to do then she wins. Don't let her win. I know it's hard to ignore behavior like that, but I think you have to find a way to tune her out and do your thing.
-
Ugh. I hate it when people do that. I'm sorry that happened to you.

When I had this problem, it turned out to be exercise induced asthma. Advair solved it.
