  • I'm always in need of a new friend! Add me please :)
  • totally awesome!~
  • also, sliced beets that are baked... your own chips. kale chips are too soft for dip. Jicama is eated raw, and just peel and eat. not a ton of flavor to it, and watery, but that makes it perfect for dip :) Depending on the type of dip, savory vs. sweet.... apple slices too. Allrecipies.com has a ton of recipes... and…
  • everyone gave great suggestions, as usual! If you don't have spices, but have fresh onion and garlic... Just cut up the onion into large chunks and rest the meat on top, then rub meat with crushed garlic.... yummo! Also, curry powder mixed with plain old mustard and paprika was awesome too!
  • I dont! explain please!:embarassed: :blushing:
  • Thanks everyone! I was thinking the exact same thing. Good to know I'm not alone. :flowerforyou:

  • I have had Ulcerative Colitis since I was 21 (probably longer, but not diagnosed until then) ... A food diary is THE BEST way to find out what is triggering your flares. In general, if your not diagnosed with a gluten allergy then gluten will not cause a flare. Alcohol and dairy are my triggers... that doesn't mean that I…
  • I have been told that Whey protien powder is easier to digest and break down. I was also told from the Dietician at the hospital I work at that if there is a history of breast cancer in your family that soy is something to avoid. Hope that helps? :blushing:
  • usually cereal... or PB&J. Although lately, my husband and I just snack on celery and PB. Who wants to cook or eat anything hot when its hot right?:ohwell:

  • snack ideas: celery with peanut butter, pears, apples, pumpkin seeds (1/4 cup), greek yogurt with berries.... 5 hour energies for those days when nothing helps!
  • wow! gonna have to remember the skinny margarita!!
  • Vodka and soda water... bubbles, and less bloat than actual diet coke. I usually ask for a twist of either lemon, lime, or orange. Have fun! You can always work off the excess tomorrow.... but your going to burn more calories than if you were at home sitting on the couch anyway!
  • I quit six years ago... then my mom died... then I was on steroids for 2 years due to illness. If I can lose weight, so can you! Keep remembering that it's just one day at a time. Keep your head up!
  • Suck it up! and some day you wont have to Suck it in
  • I try to weigh myself twice a week. Once on Fridays... and once on Tuesdays (which are my Mondays) so I can see how much I screwed up if at all over the weekend. For some reason it gets me more motivated to know what I need to do during the week. However, that being said... I only measure once a month, unless I notice some…
  • Love it!
  • 5'5 and 150 is my first goal... but ultimately I would love to be at 135. :blushing:
  • Its definately tough! When I do, those days tend to be the days I put on my pedometer right out of the shower, and take 2 walks as breaks at work (15 min mile)... and go to the gym or play softball. Also, I don't take it off until I go to bed! Good luck... if you get them its worth it!
  • Oh and another one when I am craving something sweet: chocolate soy milk (or almond milk) peanut butter banana I freeze the banana so that I don't have a watered down smoothie.... sometimes I add cinnamon to it too!! and here is a link for some more :)…
  • When you buy your fresh fruit, if you don't use it all, freeze it in baggies and use the frozen fruit as your "ice".... and I love greek yogurt in mine :)
  • Take any apple, peel and core. Then add cinnamon and Truvia packet. Microwave for 3 minutes and check for tenderness, sometimes it will need another minute. The original recipe called for brown sugar. Ive also used pumpkin pie spice in a pinch...really easy and yumm!!
  • celery and peanut butter...virtually no calories in celery, so double bonus:wink:
  • Im sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mom in 2007 and still miss her everyday! I tend to eat when I am happy, sad, bored...I just like food. It doesn't help that my husband is such an awesome cook, and I really hate to cook. I hope you are able to get all the support you need from MFP, and maybe we can motivate each…

  • Hi! My name is Tammi, I have lived here since 1999. Moved here from the Bay area...and will never go back to that traffic hell! I do miss the ocean, but visit it on vacations where ever I go. I am a hospital pharmacy tech, looking to lose weight after being on steroids for 2 years (almost 2 years ago... and finally feeling…

  • totally appropriate! But, if your gym is that hot, you should also complain as you pay good money for it not to be uncomfortable! I agree, if you can rock the sports bra and feel that good about yourself, than just do it! I cannot do it... at least not yet, and I find it totally inspirational to see what others have worked…
  • Have you changed your settings for your goal? When your weight changes and your excersize changes you burn differently. As long as you are seeing measurment changes, you are doing great! Your probably starting to build more muscle and losing the stubborn hard to lose fat.... always the slowest to lose. At least from…
