Hi, I was going through this last year, but it does require a lot of time to work through all the days. Some of the techniques wore me out. For example, I understand counting all the times I make a good decision, but even though I got a counter on my phone, it wasn't motivating for me. I did think the cards with all the…

Aww, I feel your pain. It's taken me a year and a half to lose 38 lbs. For some reason I didn't give up this time and made peace with averaging a half pound loss per week. It turns out that what works for me isn't what is right for everyone. I have learned that carbs triger my hunger, so I minimize carbs and am su re to…

Slow going, but scales going glacially in the right direction. Health and agility are more important that eating more than I need. Good luck!

I find that artificial sweeteners and carbs drive my hunger. So I eat protein and vegetables and some carbs closer to bedtime. carbs make me so hungry that once or twice I even took a Benadryl so I would be sure to sleep before I ate anything else. I don’t recommend this). Don’t waste any energy worrying about what you…

I turn 60 at the beginning of next year. My plan is to be healthier in my 60's than in my 50's. Working to put myself first. Others are not asking me to put them first, but I realize I make a lot of decisions based on making others happy. I'm having to turn off their voices, even with kind intentions. What's you plan for…

On day 11 of Primal eating. I'm starting with the 21 day plan, but I came down with a cold, so the exercise is out the window. Hoping to feel better soon.

It's fine. It's over. No negative self talk. You owned it. You are human. Be as kind to yourself as you would be to the person you love most in the world. Have a reasonable plan for tomorrow. Don't punish yourself. Consider some nonfood reward for having a great day tomorrow.

Goals are to begin to log my meals. I'm planning a walking marathon this month and I need to move into a new training/fitness planning. Best wishes to all!

You are brave to reach out. I agree with those who urge you to join a kind of alonon group. But go further. You need a community, and it may take many attempts to establish one. What do you love? What are your special talents and interests? Nurture these, your gifts, in a communal environment and you will be involved with…

Shake things up a bit. Cross train. Try some new exercises. Have a higher calorie day and have an extremely restricted day. You know how to do this: you are already a big success.

Wonderful! Just wonderful.

I just came back to sane eating and exercise. I find that the fitbit really helps me be honest about my exercise and it integrates with MFP. You are not that far from your goal weight and those pounds come off slowly.

Wow, tears in my eyes after seeing your progress. It's your eyes in the before and after picture that really show the difference. You glow with health and happiness in the after. Thank you for the motivation!
