I tend to eat a lot of chicken and fish, making variety with bolthouse yogurt dressings. I also like making lunch meat roll ups. I get the Costco lean ham and put some cheese and a slice of pickle and dip in some ranch yogurt dressing

I tend to put a date on my recipe title so I know for leftovers, and then recreate the recipe when I make it again differently. You can manually go in and update the recipe each time

Best thing is to follow what your doctor says, and to listen to your body. I'm 5 months out and I eat about 3 oz protein with sauce or dip and 1 oz vegetable/carb if there is room after

I couldn't do chicken straight out of surgery. Around 2.5-3 months out my body started accepting it again
-
I don't normally have room for carbs after my 3oz of protein, but depending the meal I will have a 1/2 to 1 oz carbs

I love stir fry over cauliflower rice. I don't eat rice or pasta, so I tend to make plain meatballs or chicken or fish, and then dip or reheat with Bolthouse Yogurt dressings.

A simple one I made tonight was pulled pork. I make it plain so I can mix different sauces with theleftovers throughout the week. Slice up an onion or two and put on bottom of the pot. Add about a cup of broth and placed pork butt shoulder on top. I seasoned salt and pepper but you could add any seasoning you like. Cook…

Dinner tonight: Pulled pork with some Sugar free BBQ sauce and a tiny bit of coleslaw

If you have a fridge or lunch box, I just measure out already cooked chicken or fish and have a side of bolthouse yogurt dressing to dip it in or pour on it before heating it up (yummy cold too). I also like to do lunch meat roll ups that have cheese and pickles inside it. I try not to snack, but do keep jerky and protein…

Running on a treadmill for the first time for 15 minutes.

Thank you both of you. I will do my best weighing before cooking, and the tare seems easy enough. Thanks!

One of my favorite go to snacks are veggies and hummus, or fruit and string cheese (grapes and cheese go well together). I also get Nature Valley bars, Rice rolls/rice cakes with peanut butter, or trail mix/chinese rice cracker mix. Or yogurt with fruit and/or nuts. I agree with everyone else that you need more than just…

2 cups of a big batch of vegetable soup comes out to about 120-130 calories

I think it is. good carbs is still an important part of a healthy diet, and I think it's totally worth it for th equinoa

My fiancé does whatever he can to support me. He'll eat what I cook, exercise with me, and remind me what I'm working towards if I feel like giving up and throwing in the towel.

This does work, just be sure to have enough water to cook it. IDK how the rice cooker knows, but it'll know when it's done.

I normally cook it in a pot on the stove. 1 cup of brown rice to 1 1/4 cup water. Sometimes I replace some or all the water with chicken broth. put on stove to simmer, turn down heat and cover for 45 minutes. Stir and enjoy. Sometimes I like to spice it up by sautéing onions and garlic before adding the rice and…

I don't think my diary is open because I don't usually record, but I am always recreating recipes. My best friend in the kitchen is my crock pot/slow cooker. If you ever need an idea, PM me and i"ll see if I have any recipes in my notebook that can help you.

I think you have come up with a great plan! When I crave, I try to enjoy a little so I won't binge on it after the craving has gotten worse.

I feel where you're coming from. I'm 5'5 also, 253 pounds. There are days I just can't stand not being able to do things or feel the way I want, or the age I want. I don't record much these days. However, most fruit and veggies are low calories and very filling. I personally know I huge salad with a wide variety of veggies…

When I make oatmeal, it's normally from theyummylife.com. They have overnight oatmeal and overnight oatmeal smoothies. Great when you're on the run in the morning!

I can see your point of view. I always start recording then get busy and caught up doing stuff and eventually say **** it! Recording is really for you to know how much you are eating and burning, and to see where you can make changes. I personally don't stress about recording but try to now and then to see how I do. The…
