There is a book called New Rules of Lifting for Women (also a group on MFP). I'm on stage 1 of the program and i'm loving it so far! It's really easy to follow and it has very detailed instructions for people (like me) who have never lifted before. Also, if your gym has classes they are a great (fun!) way to get in cardio.…

I'm donig New Rules of Lifting for Women program. I'm about half way through stage 1. Since i've started lifting i've noticed my boobs have better shape. I'm not sure why but I think the muscles (maybe called peks) above my boobs are firmer so it looks like they are perkier. I've noticed everything on my body is alot more…

I LOVE to put TONS of marshmallow's (or whipped cream) in hot cocoa! Mmm.... Rice crispy treats are the only other thing I can think of....

There is a group for NROLFW. The ladies on there are wonderful for answering questions!! I'm on stage 1 of the program and i'm loving it so far! I haven't lost any pounds but I can tell i've lost inches and i'm A LOT stronger. I know for me my muscles retain alot of water when recovering after lifting so my body weight…

Chicken & Veggies....LOTS OF CHICKEN for me!! :drinker:

Currently i've been doing NROLFW 2 or 3 times a week and if I have time i'll go to 1 or 2 zumba classes during the week. We also play in the pool a few days a week. I don't really like to count that as swimming because it's mostly just playing with my 2 year old son in the water. I'm trying to decide if i should be doing…

I don't eat fish (wish i did...it's a great source of protein) so my main protein sources are: chicken (LOTS of chicken!), eggs, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, protein powder w/ milk, beef, venison (deer), occasionally pork (higher in fat so i try not eating to much of it). I eat chicken almost everyday. I always cook it…

I do New Rules of Lifting for Women program. I haven't lifted before doing this program and I think it's very easy to follow. It's amazing how fast your body adjusts to lifting heavy. There is a NROLFW group on MFP you should check out.

When I first tried protein powder (mixed with water) it made me gag & I would throw it back up. YUCK! Now, I am able to get it down by mixing 1 scoop powder with about a cup of milk. I chug the whole thing in a couple gulps then drink a little more milk to wash the taste of of my mouth. Once I have drank it it doesn't make…

I've been doing New Rules of Lifting for Women for the past few weeks. I'm loving it so far!! It's amazing how fast your body adjusts. I'm alot stronger then a few weeks ago. The NROLFW book is very specific and great for a beginner becuase it tells you specifically what to do on what day & it tells you proper form. I…

I usually bake mine at about 300 until they don't look runny (guessing 20 or so minutes). I make mini quiche things with eggs in the oven. I've never froze them but I do make a bunch and put in refrigerator to eat during the week. I put pretty much anything in them. Eggs, egg whites, sausage, finely chopped onions/peppers,…

I make turkey bacon, egg & cheese on english muffin's & freeze them. In the mornings i'll grab one out of the freezer and microwave it for about 3 minutes and it's ready to eat. I make them in batches of 15 or 20 at a time to freeze.. I've never had a problem with the egg turning out funny. I use 1 egg mixed with 1/2 cup…

I make pretty much everything I eat for the week on Sunday's. My week is pretty busy.If i don't have everything already measured out and ready to grab in the morning I end up eating terrible. I make turkey bacon, egg & cheese on english muffin's & freeze them. In the mornings i'll grab one out of the freezer and microwave…

I never really liked yogurt but I wanted to start eating greek yogurt because it's something I can easily eat once I get to work. I tried a bunch of different kinds and i like Chobani blueberry the best. It's 14 grams of protein. Chobani other flavors are pretty good also. I also like it because it's the only yogurt i've…

Hi! You are more than welcome to add me. My son is 2 so we are no longer breastfeeding. He nursed until about 15 months old and self weaned.

I emailed it to you!

I'm not sure if this would help anyone but it is helping me. I just started Stage 1 this week (loving it so far) and I was having trouble remembering proper form for each exercise. So, I created a spreadsheet (really i just added to someone else's). It has the workouts on one side and I took sample pics of all of the…

It looks really cute!! I would definitly wear it! It's a really cute summery dress! You could dress up for a date night or wear casual with flip flops for summer. Looking great!!!!!

Thanks for posting this! Great motivation!! I'm starting this week and it's really helpful to see what starting & ending weight you did. Great progress!!!! keep it up!!!!! :drinker:

wow...I'm EXACTLY the same way!! I lose about 2 lbs a few days after my period then it fluctuates within 1 or 2 pounds of that number until a couple days before my next period. Then it goes up by 5 or 6 pounds. Then after my period i'm down about 2 lbs from the previous month. So, i've lost about 6 pounds in a little over…

THANK YOU all so much for the feedback!!!! I'm excited to get started and once I do it a few times I’m sure I’ll no longer be intimidated. I've been going to the Y for a while and I don't think I’ve ever seen a woman in the weight room section of the gym. So, I think that's why I’m intimidated but I’ll get over it when I…

I will be lifting at the local Y. I've tried to convince friends of mine to do this program with me but no one wants to. I'm excited to start but a little intimidated. Ugh...I need to get over that! I've been watching youtube video's alot to see what proper form should look like.

This is really sad to me to hear you say that you will eventually forget your past there. You have a real reason for not wanting to go back (which is completely understandable) and it doesn't sounds like there is a clear reason why your bf wants to be back there (sorry don't count music as being a "real" reason). I could…
